Hedebo Farm offers you three different types of cottages. One single cottage, one double or pair cottage, and one family or triple cottage. The cottages are simple but fresh, clean, and lovely. The best part is the view and no words can describe it perfectly. The cottages offer magnificent views over the mountains, rivers, and Ammarnäs culture-marked meadows which in Ammarnäs is called "raning".

In close proximity to the cottages is an outhouse (dry) toilet and running cold water tap (only frost-free period). Inside the cottages, there are water containers for refilling. A simple outhouse kitchen is available in conjunction with the sauna. Coldwater (only frost-free period), kettle, 2-plate hob, coffee machine, and different kitchenware are available.

When the water in the outdoor kitchen has been closed, water is collected in the saddle chamber in the stall. A large barbecue area is down by the lake. In the storage by the outdoor kitchen, there are pans, pots, and other things that are needed for outdoor cooking. During the summer months, you can take a dip in Nolavan, a small lake formed in Vindelälven's suburbs, at their own beach.

The temperature in June to August varies from approximately 15 to 22 degrees Celsius. Down at Nolavan, there is also a wood-burning hot tub in addition to the wood-burning sauna.

This single cottage is a simple building of approximately seven square meters with one room. It has a small simple kitchen corner with a fridge and kettle.

This pair/double cottage is a 15-square meter building of a local type, "Sorselestugan", and consists of one room. There is room for two people in the cottage.

This family/triple cottage is a 15-square meter building of a local type, "Sorselestugan", and consists of two rooms, one of which is a bedroom. There is room for a maximum of three adults or two adults with one to two children in the cottage, in a family bed (2 down and 1 up) and 1 bed in a kitchen sofa.

From the top of the mountain Ammar you can see the infinite space in all directions. If you are lucky, you can see a buzzard or a golden eagle soaring in the sky and maybe, you could hear the laughter of the ptarmigan. Arrive back to Ammarnas at about 5 p.m. and enjoy a waiting hot tub on the Hedebo Farm, where you will spend the first, second, and last night.

Day 1: Wednesday

Arrive at the village, Ammarnäs, in the afternoon/evening; you will spend the night at Hedebo Farm, meals are not included on this day.

Day 2: Thursday (14 to 15 kilometers / 3.5 hours in the saddle)

Have breakfast in the cottage and at 9:30 a.m., travel to the village for a visit to the Ammarnäs Visitor Centre, where you will be guided around the exhibition between 10 to 11 a.m. After the visit, start with a ride, an extended half-day riding-tour, riding along a creek up to an old settler's place; hay meadows with its barns have been restored and cantering along these meadows is a delightful experience!

On the way back, wade across the creek (if the water level allows) and conclude with riding horses home to Hedebo Farm. You will spend the night at Hedebo Farm in an assigned cottage. Today's breakfast (prepared on your own) and lunch are included in the basic price.

Day 3: Friday (17 kilometers / 3.5 hours in the saddle)

Have your breakfast in the cottage and pack your personal equipment. At 9:30 a.m., start with the horses and the riding tour against the old pioneer place; Aitelnas Viste, a very old cabin from the 1880s. Aitelnas Viste lies in the mountain valley, very beautiful under the steep slope of the mountain hillside and along the shore of the river Vindel´n. The fine sandy beaches welcome you to try a dip in the crystal clear, shimmering green but cold mountain water. Today's breakfast (prepared on your own), lunch, and dinner are included in the basic price.

Day 4: Saturday (25 kilometers / 5 to 5.5 hours in the saddle)

Start early in the morning; the day includes wading on horseback across the river Vindel´n, an exciting experience that, perhaps, makes it tickle your stomach! Climb up to Stuore Jåppen and maybe, have one or two canters across the expanses. After the ride, it would feel good to have a warm bath at the hot tub in Hedebo Farm and a last dinner meal. Spend the night at Hedebo Farm; today's breakfast (prepared on your own), lunch, and dinner are included in the basic price.

Day 5: Sunday

Clean the accommodation and get ready for your departure. Check-out is no later than 12 p.m. Today's breakfast (prepared on your own) is included in the basic price.

Welcome to Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve and the mountain village Ammarnäs in Swedish Lapland; a magnificent and exciting part of Scandinavia! Visit a mountain landscape sculptured by ice sheets. Here lie glaciers, snow-clad peaks and mountain heaths where reindeer, Arctic fox, and gyrfalcon can be seen. To the east are vast spruce and pine forests; the Taiga’s western outpost. Man arrived here shortly after the ice sheets retreated, the oldest archaeological remains are over 8000 years old! With its 560,000 hectares of diverse scenery, Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve is one of Europe’s largest protected areas.

Every day, you will have simple breakfasts prepared by you, the guests, themselves, in the cabin (Sandwich, cheese, cereal and milk, porridge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc.).
