Hedebo Farm offers you three different types of cottages. One single cottage, one double or pair cottage, and one family or triple cottage. The cottages are simple but fresh, clean, and lovely. The best part is the view and no words can describe it perfectly. The cottages offer magnificent views over the mountains, rivers, and Ammarnäs culture-marked meadows which in Ammarnäs is called "raning".

In close proximity to the cottages is an outhouse (dry) toilet and running cold water tap (only frost-free period). Inside the cottages, there are water containers for refilling. A simple outhouse kitchen is available in conjunction with the sauna. Coldwater (only frost-free period), kettle, 2-plate hob, coffee machine, and different kitchenware are available.

When the water in the outdoor kitchen has been closed, water is collected in the saddle chamber in the stall. A large barbecue area is down by the lake. In the storage by the outdoor kitchen, there are pans, pots, and other things that are needed for outdoor cooking. During the summer months, you can take a dip in Nolavan, a small lake formed in Vindelälven's suburbs, at their own beach.

The temperature in June to August varies from approximately 15 to 22 degrees Celsius. Down at Nolavan, there is also a wood-burning hot tub in addition to the wood-burning sauna.

This single cottage is a simple building of approximately seven square meters with one room. It has a small simple kitchen corner with a fridge and kettle.

This pair/double cottage is a 15-square meter building of a local type, "Sorselestugan", and consists of one room. There is room for two people in the cottage.

This family/triple cottage is a 15-square meter building of a local type, "Sorselestugan", and consists of two rooms, one of which is a bedroom. There is room for a maximum of three adults or two adults with one to two children in the cottage, in a family bed (2 down and 1 up) and 1 bed in a kitchen sofa.

On Ammarnäsfjällens Islandshästar's tours, you will discover the Icelandic horse's courageous, courteous, safe, and attractive ways. The Icelandic horse has an unusually good psyche and an incredibly lovely charm that most people appreciate very much and many people have discovered that "once you have ridden an Icelandic horse, then you are stuck for life."

  • Some of Ammarnäsfjällens Islandshästar's events are approved by Nature's Best - an ecotourism certification.
  • Small, family groups
  • Home-cooked food made of reindeer, moose, home-grown vegetables, and herbs from the area.
  • Vindelfjällen is a Sámi cultural land and part of Sápmi.
  • The birdlife in Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve has attracted attention for over fifty years.
  • Vindelfjällen’s wildlife and scenery are protected from exploitation and other encroachment.
  • In Vindelfjällen, you can witness a gyrfalcon dive to attack an unaware willow grouse or see the tracks of a wolverine wind their way up the mountain slopes.

Welcome to Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve and the mountain village Ammarnäs in Swedish Lapland; a magnificent and exciting part of Scandinavia! Visit a mountain landscape sculptured by ice sheets. Here lie glaciers, snow-clad peaks and mountain heaths where reindeer, Arctic fox, and gyrfalcon can be seen. To the east are vast spruce and pine forests; the Taiga’s western outpost. Man arrived here shortly after the ice sheets retreated, the oldest archaeological remains are over 8000 years old! With its 560,000 hectares of diverse scenery, Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve is one of Europe’s largest protected areas.

Every day, you will have simple breakfasts prepared by you, the guests, themselves, in the cabin (Sandwich, cheese, cereal and milk, porridge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc.).
