The ascent to reach the Mirador de Wañyn will take place from the location where you will leave your horses. It will take you approximately 40 minutes of walking or an hour and a half for those who want to reach the top of the mountain. From the viewpoint, you will enjoy a panoramic view of much of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, of the mountain range that stretches along the river Vilcanota, with snowy peaks such as the "Waqaq Willka" (holy mountain that cries), known such as La Verónica (5,682 meters), Chicón (guardian of the Sacred Valley with 5,530 meters) and the Ausangate (6,372 masl) and the plateaus of Maras and Chinchero that rise up along the Valley Sacred of the Incas. These mines are made up of around 4,000 natural saltwater wells, five meters squares of extension, located in the foothills of the hills, and you can still see the ancestral salt production method. Las Salineras represent an important source of work for the settlers of Maras and other nearby towns. At the end of the visit, you will say goodbye to the horses and the local team that accompanied you along the route and you will return on the transport to Cusco or to the destination hotel.

Observations:

Before starting the ride, a basic explanation of riding will be given. There will be a demonstration of how to handle a Peruvian Paso horse and familiarization with it. All of them will last about a half and an hour. It should be noted that the duration of the tour is whole day with approximately five hours on horseback per day.

Horses

The Peruvian Paso horse can have different rhythms and speeds, which can be executed by the same horse. This equine is considered the best saddle horse due to the smoothness of its walk, easy treatment, and stable temperament. Therefore, it is not necessary to be a professional horseman to ride it efficiently, all of which differentiates it from the rest of the races in which a learning process is required. He is calm, alive, resistant, and goodwill. The fundamental characteristic of the Peruvian horse of passage is the smoothness when riding for its intermediate speed, known as lateral trot and that is called Paso Liano.
