Ballycommon House is situated in the centre of Ireland on the banks of the Grand Canal, six miles from Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Each self-catering apartment consists of a fully fitted kitchen, living or dining room, two bedrooms with twin beds in each room (four beds), and a bathroom. The apartments have central heating which is controlled by the guest. They are also equipped with bed-linen, towels, light, heat, Wi-Fi, and private parking that are included in the price.

The courtyard is enclosed and private where guests can park their cars. BallyCommon House is situated in the centre of Ireland in a rural safe setting and is ideal for visitors to use as a base for touring Ireland.

Program

As the apartments are self-catering, you can rise and have breakfast at a time that suits you and Ballycommon House can pre-arrange the time for the horseback riding that will suit you also. A typical day at Ballycommon House is breakfast, horseback riding, then back to the apartment to freshen up and have lunch.

The equestrian centre is a five-minute drive from the apartment where you can ride in the indoor arena or take a gentle hack around the excellent cross country course. For those seeking more, there are over 60 jumps on the course ranging from beginners to intermediate to maxi.

In the afternoon, you can visit the wonderful attractions of County Offaly, known as Ireland’s Hidden Gem, which include the beautiful Lough Boora Discovery Park, the sixth century monastic site of Clonmacnoise, Tullamore DEW Visitors Centre, The Slieve Bloom Way, Clara Bog and Visitors Centre, Birr Castle, River Shannon and Moneygall, the ancestral home of Barack Obama.

You can finish off the day with a cool refreshing drink in the bar and exchange stories with the friendly welcoming locals.
