Cabalonga

Cabalonga was established to care and conserve Puerto Cayo biodiversity, offering eco-tourism with a minimum environmental impact together with a pleasant outdoor experience. Their concept allows visitors to admire the exuberant beauty of the regional ecosystem and Manabí culture.

The name Cabalonga is also tightly linked to Ecuadorian cultural and natural heritage: the word "cabalonga" comes from a native plant, which seeds are used for making crafts.

If you would like to retreat next to the beach and be immersed in the Ecuadorian tropical nature but still prefer to experience the comfort of a hotel, then you are maybe a glamping adventurer. Taking care of nature without sacrificing your comfort means "glamping" (camping with glamour) and it is what Cabalonga provides its guests with.

Located 50 meters from the beach, Cabalonga Lodge offers its guests a pleasant and relaxing retreat amongst tropical nature, built inside bamboo fences to give privacy but at the same time catch the sea breeze from the Pacific Ocean.

Cabalonga loves nature and its guests also do. Its facilities are mainly built with renewable materials such as bamboo canes, an endemic cane to Manabí province. Thus, Cabalonga is happy to welcome you in its eco-friendly glamping tents and bungalows.

There are some amenities provided in the tent. If the direct sea breeze is not enough, you can make use of the free standing fan available in your unit, and if you want to connect with the outside world you can plug your electronic devices and link to the free Wi-Fi, all this from the comfort of your tent. Right outside your cabin, a hammock will always be at your disposal for stargazing at night.

Bamboo cottage

This bamboo cottage serves as a dormitory for individual travelers or you can also book it as a private room to enjoy privacy in your romantic retreat or for your big family. This room features an indoor private bathroom, one queen bed and one single bunk bed.

Manabí Cuisine

Manabí cuisine is an amalgam of fresh ingredients resulting from the dry and tropical ecosystem of the Pacific coastline. Some fresh seafood served alongside crispy fried green bananas and garnished with a fragrant salprieta (peanut-based condiment) are some of the highlight elements in the making of Manabí food. The menu at Cabalonga restaurant offers a variety of Manabí dishes and the most delicious typical Ecuadorian food.

Fresh Ingredients

From the garden and from the sea to the plate. Cabalonga grows in their garden some vegetables and fruit sustainably. In addition, the bountiful seafood served in their dishes comes from the nearby coastline. This freshness in the ingredients spurs excitement among visitors when tasting typical Manabí food in Cabalonga's restaurant in Puerto Cayo.
