Kids and Teenagers Horse Riding Camp in Ireland
This residential holiday with stable management in Clonshire Equestrian Centre is available throughout the school holidays and is suitable for children aged 12-19 years old. The lodge is situated in the forest just beside the stables. The accommodation is a family home and Katrina, the House Mother, lives in the house all year round so the children are supervised and looked after to the highest standard. Meals are cooked and served at the lodge which is just a stone's throw away from the equestrian centre. All rooms are dormitory style and are double and triple rooms. There are also TV and kitchenette available for everyone to use. Bookings are usually made for one, two or three-week-long stays.

Children will be accommodated at the on-site guest lodge with dormitory-style bedrooms, 2 shared bathrooms, and a shared kitchen/living area. It will be fully supervised for unaccompanied minors attending camp, and has free Wi-Fi and TV along with beautiful outdoor seating with the scenery of the horses in the fields.
Program
Daily Schedule
- 08:30 Breakfast
- 09:00 Catch the ponies, groom and then a riding lesson (mixture of dressage, groundwork and showjumping)
- 11:30 Riding lesson/cross country lesson
- 13:00 Lunch at the lodge
- 14:15 Return to the stables for more riding, hacking through the countryside and pony games
- 15:30 Work with instructors to learn how we look after our horses and ponies, feeding, grooming, plaiting, turning out and see our farrier Liam at work
- 18:00 Dinner at the Lodge
After dinner, campers will have some free time to relax, play games or watch a movie in the house and there will also be organized trips to the local village of Adare at least one afternoon per week. On the last day, there will be a competition and assessment for riders.
