Cornish Riding Holidays / Wheal Buller Riding School offers fully inclusive horse riding holidays, lessons, hacking, and courses in the UK.
Me and my friend came down to Wheal Buller to stay for a couple of days of riding holiday. I have been doing pony club holidays there since I was a child, first going down in 2010 and have had the best horses and ponies for me! The staff are so catering for your level of riding which to me having been riding most of my life, is important. My friend had been once before with me but loved staying over. The atmosphere of the yard is so welcoming and friendly, always people about who are willing to help! The range of hacks, jumping lessons, cross country was great and I'd really recommend going down to Wheal Buller, you might even get as addicted as me! Thank you to everyone there!

I have been to Wheal Buller twice now, both for riding holidays over the summer. The staff are all lovely and always do their best to keep everyone happy, whilst maintaining a high level of safety. The activities available to participate in are a once in a lifetime experience... where else would you get the opportunity to swim on a horse?! The scenery is absolutely beautiful and there is so much off-road hacking available so you can really enjoy the Cornish countryside. A lot of thought has obviously gone into planning the week and the staff are all easy to talk to and you are not forced to do anything that you aren't comfortable with, however you are encouraged to give things a go without it being pushy. All of your horses are a credit to you. I have never been to a riding school with horses that are so well behaved yet still have loads of personality and aren't just 'kick-along' types. They get turned out regularly and are very well looked after and this shows. There are horses to suit all types of rider and on holidays you are able to try many different horses during the activities or you are able to 'own a pony' for the week if you'd prefer. On my first visit I came with my school so was with people that I knew however last year I returned on my own after having such a lovely time. I was a bit worried at first about finding it awkward however this was quickly pushed to the back of my mind as everyone is so welcoming and easy to talk to. Overall, this is the best riding school I've visited and I would highly recommend Wheal Buller to anyone that finds themselves in Cornwall - I just wish it was closer to home! See you in the summer :)
