There is a swimming pool and barbecue place next to the guesthouses.

El Retiro Polo Club facilities include two boarded polo fields, one stick and ball area, and a nice clubhouse with a barbecue place, and stables for more than 50 polo ponies.

Program

While riding in this polo resort, you'll get the feeling of sharing the tradition of a polo family. Marcos Llambias played polo for 42 years, and both his sons are excellent polo players.

One is a Pro Polo Player in USA, and the youngest one is an amateur player in Argentina. Two of his four daughters also played polo, but now are too busy bringing up two sons, a daughter and twins. Cristina (Marcos' wife) is still a wild rider who enjoys galloping around. Marcos is a retired pediatric surgeon who will never retire from polo.

Daily schedule

Your typical day will start with a delicious breakfast followed by your preparation for a two-hour horseback riding experience in the surroundings. You can choose between going around the Retiro, around the countryside, to the nearest village, etc. You will then come back to the Retiro to enjoy your lunch. After the lunch, you will get ready for the two-hour afternoon ride with the activity of your choice. You will finish your day with a light night meal. At your leisure time, feel free to use the swimming pool. You can also ask for polo classes at no additional cost during your stay in polo season (February 15 to May 30 and September 1 to December 15). Please note that you are expected to attend the program with a personal insurance against equestrian accidents.

Polo

El Retiro Polo Club is a typical polo family who enjoys playing for fun. We receive guests from every corner of the world and teach the polo game according to your level. Matches are organized among professional polo players, local players, and guests for everyone enjoyment.
