Body, mind, equine is not really about “doing yoga postures on the back of your horse,” though there will be a few stretches in the saddle. The program is about how to use yoga and yogic principles to improve your horsemanship from the ground to saddle. Cathy Woods does not claim to be a horse trainer or riding instructor, her goal is to assist students in becoming more aware and conscious riders.

Accommodation

You will stay at the Flathead Lake Lodge. Guests at the ranch enjoy the cozy ambiance found in our historic log lodges and rustic cabins. Accommodations are Western with traditional log furnishings and country quilts. Comfortable and cozy accommodations range from one to three bedrooms in log cabins or one of the historic log lodges with massive rock fireplaces overlooking Flathead Lake.

Cabins are nestled in the tall pines surrounded by lush green grounds filled with flowers on the lake's edge. Each lodge room joins a central lobby with a fireplace. All accommodations have daily maid service.

Flathead Lake Lodge Horse Riding and USA Yoga Holiday Program

This all-inclusive fun and educational program combines “body and breathing awareness” with “energy and present moment awareness”. Much of these skills can be applied to all areas of life! During this retreat, you will greet the day with a gentle morning yoga class including good stretches for riders, followed by workshops on meditation, breath-work and exploring the parallels between yoga and horsemanship.

Time is spent on the mat, groundwork and energy exercises in the arena with horses, saddle time, and of course trail rides! All levels of yogis and riders welcome, including beginners. Cathy works with you from where you are and you work at your own pace. Body, mind, and equine TM programs is led by its creator, long-time, national yoga teacher, life-skills retreat leader, and trail rider Cathy Woods.

Thought body, mind, equine, Cathy combines her two passions, horses and yoga, into a fun and unforgettable learning experience that will enrich your life. It matters not your riding discipline, experience level, or if you just enjoy being around horses. In this fun, interactive, workshop you will achieve several goals.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 10% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
