"Wonderful instructors and so much learnt"
We had a wonderful time at Hacienda. My partner and I only rode once but had a great time relaxing and watching my step daughter ride. She acknowledged that she learnt more in the three days there than she had in the whole of previous year at her stables. The instructors where fantastic teaching all of the kids, all of whom clearly had a wonderful time. We will be returning next year!!

"Fabulous horse riding holiday"
Everything was just magic. We received a warm welcome. The instructors were great and able to adapt for all abilities and match you to the right horse. The hacking was wonderful through olive groves and vineyards- fast paced or gentle amble. A wonderful, relaxing and active holiday . Thanks to all the team.

"Great place for beginners and experienced horse riders "
This was a great place for us to start our horse riding instruction. After an initial assessment of our riding skills, a schedule was tailor made for us which involved 2 x one hour lessons each day. The instructors were very patient with us and great fun, but extremely professional and they were keen to keep us improving each lesson. We started out extremely nervous complete beginners, but by day four, just as the sun was rising, we were part of a small group hack meandering through olive groves with the misty mountains in the distance - beautiful! In between times, we relaxed around the pool. You can also cycle to nearby Mollina village for a beer. The owners organised picnic and drove us beginners (the experienced riders met us half way through their hack), but this was not an ordinary picnic! There was a long table dressed with a table cloth, comfy chairs, roasted veg lasagne, fresh salad and fruit and a choice of wine/water/soft drinks, even tea/coffee! It was so great to all be together and chat about our progress and having a laugh!. That same day, the owners took us into the main town of Antequera for an opportunity to browse and have a night out (they collected us at 10pm). We have met lovely folks, some travelling alone or with their teenage children, from numerous counties around the world. This is one of the best short breaks we've had and we look forward to going back again to Hacienda Horses again soon!

"Wonderful experience all in all"
The girls instructing us were splendid, giving the beginners amongst us so much confidence we were all cantering in the end. Also, they gave our daughter who is more advanced more challenge without forgetting she’s only 8. She absolutely loved the jumping class! Oh, and Becky’s meals were delicious. Vegetarian or lactose free dietary wishes were not a problem.

Fantastic weather, great food, excellent horses! I came as a solo rider seeking a short break from a hectic master's course and it served its purpose - and then some. Shoutout to Charlotte and Frankie, as well as the catering staff!

Arriving in Malaga with the sun shining in March, my holiday began as I took advantage of the airport transfer on offer, meaning my direct journey from the airport to this idyllic location was both enjoyable and seamless. As a returning guest, it was so nice to feel the ambience of relaxation from the moment I arrived in the pretty courtyard and to enjoy the horse riding on beautiful, kindly handled, well schooled and happy horses. Each time I have visited (7 times now), I come away with a new experience, riding different horses and having 'feel good' lessons where you can connect with the horse and make progress with your riding. Being a regular rider although without my own horse at home, I loved having the opportunity to practice movements such as half pass and canter leg yield (it did help that Fiscal was so very obliging). As always, the whole combination of hosts and staff, people, accommodation, horses, dogs, the ethos of kind and patient rescue of dogs and horses, home cooked food, continue to make this an absolute favourite place for me to visit and I am so comfortable travelling here as a solo guest or with friends (when they are able to join me). I am returning home with renewed energy, more relaxed and inspired in my riding. I can't wait to return again.

As a family of four animal lovers who sadly don’t have any animals (not counting gerbils!) Hacienda Horses was the perfect getaway destination for us. We were a little apprehensive before we arrived as while we are keen to learn to ride we are beginners and weren't sure what to expect. We needn't have worried as from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely people there.
The Hacienda and our apartment accommodation were first class – lovely and traditional but with all the comforts. The dogs and horses are clearly much loved and are very well cared for. Our children could not get enough of cuddling and chasing after the dogs – I'm sure they were ready for a holiday after we left! The riding lessons were great – Adrian and Christine are excellent teachers who were very patient with us and we felt that they really cared about our making progress. Adrian is a natural with children and he delivered just the right balance of lessons and fun. The food, supplied by Sebastian, was delicious - we had not expected to eat so well and he was thoughtful of the children. The outside areas are very nice to relax in between riding and the pool looked like a great place to hang out when the weather warms up – although our brave children still managed a couple of chilly dips. We really loved our time as a family here – it’s a special place and we are already thinking about when we can make it back there - Fins Aviat!
