I feel so blessed to have found Liza on this site. She's been nothing short of amazing. When I emailed her, I felt like I was in the best hands. She arranged everything for me: lodging, transfer, horse riding, and massages.
Her husband, Gama, is a Panamanian cowboy. I fell in love with Bonbino and rode him for 3 days: two beach runs and one mountain ride to see petroglyphs, the greenest grass, and the most beautiful cows. It was genuinely peaceful in every way. On my last beach ride, Gama grabbed a coconut, whipped out his Machi, and, voila, fresh coconut water.
Did I die and go to heaven?
Nope, heaven was waiting for me when I got back. Liza is a first-class massage therapist; she knows so many different styles. One day, she did the sound bowls on my belly, which I had not done before. It was so cool. She has a large Palapa yoga platform where she does massages. It is tucked back into the property, so you do not even know it is there. You only hear the waves and birds all around.
Las Lajas Beach Resort is a true gem. If you want peace and quiet, this is
the place. The beaches are long, and the waves are perfect for body surfing or boogie boarding. No large waves here. Basically, you have a beach to yourself. The food at the beach resort is wonderful, and the menu is very varied. It is one of the best egg benedicts I have had, cooked to perfection with fresh eggs. I could go on and on about this place; you would think I am a paid marketer which is not the case.
