Las Lajas Beach Resort is a 14-room hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and the only hotel directly situated on the beach with all the amenities mentioned below. The complex includes a lush garden, the heart of the facilities, where you can find the swimming pool, sunbeds, beachfront palapas, and an outdoor bar-restaurant. Take a few steps and you will sink your toes into the soft sand of Playa Las Lajas.
The personalized rooms are spacious and can accommodate up to 5 people. All rooms border the rich, lush, and manicured lawn area which surrounds a free-form shaded pool, from where you will enjoy the views of the beach and the island-dotted ocean. Two suites are available on the first floor of the hotel.
Free wireless connection to the internet is available on the whole property for those who want to stay connected. The open-air bar-restaurant offers local and international cuisine and as well as an interesting choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Standard rooms

Adventurous Mountain Ride with Cattle and Training/Exercises
Depending on your level and preferences, your guide will teach you the tricks of the cowboys, helping you connect and become one with your horse. Experience the awakening of nature during an early morning ride and immerse yourself in the beauty that surrounds you.
Rider Levels
The holiday does accept beginners but you will need to inform them of this in advance in order to avoid putting beginners with more experienced riders. Communication is very important in this case and the group has to be small. For riders experiencing their first time on a horse, the group’s size will have a maximum of 2 riders.
Children
There are no saddles for children under 12, but the guide can take a horse with a child pulled by the rein.

The program schedule will be determined by the tides of the Pacific Ocean, which change daily. Beach rides can only be done during low tide, so once you have your dates of stay, your rides will be scheduled accordingly.

All the horses are in excellent shape and well trained by your guide, Gama, who has ridden horses since he was a child and has worked 16 years as a "vaquero", the Spanish term for a cowboy. Born and raised in this area, he knows how to find all the hidden treasures and takes pride and joy in showing the beauty of nature and teach you all the tricks to ride your horse as a Panamanian Vaquero.

Las Lajas Beach Resort is located in front of Playa Las Lajas in the province of Chiriqui, on a six hour drive from Panama City.
Driving directions from Panama City
- Drive along the American Highway direction Santiago, San Felix.
- Take the Las Lajas exit at the return of San Felix and travel approximately 13 kilometers, through the town, looking for Las Lajas Beach Resort signs and the playa/beach sign until you reach the “T” in the road at the beach.
- The resort is approximately 400 meters down the road to the right.
- Look for the yellow building with the red roof and you will be here ready to enjoy the relaxing and soothing lifestyle of the beach.
Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and then choose between either a flight from Tocumen International Airport to David Airport (DAV) or a rental car/bus with a driving time of approximately 6 hours. Las Lajas Beach Resort can arrange airport transfers at an additional cost. Please contact them for further details.
Arrival by bus
Las Lajas and San Félix are easily accessible by bus; from/to the bus terminal in David (every 30 minutes) as well as from/to the Albrook bus terminal in Panama City with connections every hour (6-hour ride – 5 hours the night express bus). The stop is at the main intersection of San Félix, from where you need to take a taxi to the hotel.
