Stay on a Western-style boutique horse ranch that includes rustic cabin and/or teepee-style glamping, barbecue cowboy lunch, cowboy firepit dinner, evening entertainment when available, cowboy breakfast, and includes all bedding, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and snacks.

Martin Family Ranch is a "back to basics" cowboy ranch with converted rustic cabins and teepee yurt tents, all decorated in the true western tradition. The cabins and teepees are lit by lanterns, the outdoor shower is heated by propane, and the camp area is solar lit and they cook over wood pits. The camp area is located on the edge of the woods looking onto the trails, close to the ranch house.

There is a hot tub powered from the ranch house located under the trees, close to the gazebo where you eat and break bread. It is an amazing experience of living with the land and not on it.

Program

Put your boots on, things just got cowboy in Chester, New Hampshire! Designed for experienced horseback riders only, who want to get off the grid for a few nights, live with the land, not on it, and ride some challenging trails in Southern New Hampshire. Maximum party groups of 4, stay in the ranch cabin and teepees, eat great food cooked over an open fire pit, and experience the outdoor shower everyone loves.

Ride trails from 5 to 20 miles, cross water, walk, trot, and gallop through forests, across green meadows. All-inclusive, meals, accommodation, arrive Monday afternoon and meet the cowboys and cowgirls, ranch hands, etc., meet the horses, get fed. During the evening, they have ax throwing, roping dummy steers, corn hole, fire pit, etc.

Next day, wake up to breakfast, horsemanship to get your horse ready and tacked up, warm up and get to know the horse in the arena, then hit the trails. Back to the ranch for lunch then back out on the trails. Late afternoon get back to the ranch and relax, shower, play games, and eat dinner.

Wednesday after breakfast, grab water, and a snack for the ride and head out on the trails. The itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions, rider ability, and other unforeseen issues when dealing with livestock. All check-in times are 4 p.m. but advertised as arrivals from 12 noon are accepted. All check-outs are 4 p.m. but later check-out or additional nights are allowed with a request.

All of the horses are best suited to experienced riders, they're all strong-willed and need a confident rider with a solid seat. Guests must dress for horse riding. You'll ride western; with boots with heels, appropriate pants, and long sleeve shirts, cowboy hats, or helmets; and rainwear as you ride in the rain or shine.

New Hampshire weather is crazy and it changes in a heartbeat! So please send an inquiry if you have concerns about the weather and you can try to reschedule for a different day if needed.
