You will learn how to make a horse understand what you want and even make him eager to work with you. This program offers training at all levels and different kind. Working equitation, dressage, easy jumping, riding in the mountains, liberty training, working with long reins etc. all at your choice.
You will also practice core, pilates, and yoga training. During this holiday, you will have the possibility to get specific about the skills that you need to develop. This will make a big impact on your future riding. Classical dressage, the way Mia Isacsson looks at it, is a nice and friendly way to train the horse, but still with high goals of performance and perfection.
If you want, you can start with "Working in hand" riding lesson - where the teacher helps the rider to ride the horse from the ground to start with, so that the rider can learn the feeling of the movements and how to give proper aids. Then step by step, the rider starts to take over.
The teacher is always there to find the highest possible level for the horse and rider and assist when required. Before you can require great things from your horse, you need to find your own balance. That is why you will practice breathing, relaxation, presence, leadership, concentration, body control, focus and how to give clear signals in order to get a responsive horse.
Mia's training will make a change in the way you look at horses, riding, communication and yourself. You will get experiences that you will carry with you the rest of your life and they will be useful even when communicating with humans. Dressage is about trying to be as perfect as possible, to have a real connection with the horse and control of your own body as well.
Do you really want to learn how to ride with fine aids and make the horse happy to work with you? Understand how to communicate with your horse, to be one with the horse? Body awareness riding entails using as little effort as possible in influencing the horse to perform as much as possible.
Classical dressage is a method where you are responsible for the horse to feel self-secure and happy while working. You try to see things from the horse point of view. Related to the horse's skills, personality, and physics you choose the right exercises and level of speed. Some horses need more time to understand and to be able to do what you ask them to.
You want to work with the horse, not against the horse. You usually start with work from the ground - communication, relaxation, breathing, and harmony together with your horse. That makes you aware of all movements, shoulder in, haunches in etc. and therefore easier to perform later. When you feel ready to mount a horse, you go on focusing on awareness of the bodies of the horse and rider.
Doing the movements slow to make it easy to feel the exact position of both hind legs. When starting the trot and canter the ultimate goal is to maintain without neither rider or horse start to get tensed or stressed.
Mia Isacsson has been coaching people since 1997. Her special method is designed to make people grow and discover their inner potential. The content of her courses is a mix of everything she has learned that she has found useful. Mia teaches different techniques appropriate to the current phase and level of the horse and rider. The theories come from classical dressage, academic riding, centered riding, etc.
This holiday will take place in Malaga, Spain. Malaga, the Spanish city which adjoins Costa del Sol, is a popular tourist destination and for good reason. For several years, this beautiful city has been overshadowed by its other Andalucian cities such as Granada, Cordoba, and Seville. However, Malaga is now receiving a lot more attention as a tourist destination. In fact, its art is being compared to that of Madrid and its food to that of none other than Barcelona.
The world famous artist, Picasso was from Malaga and has been quoted about his own city – “to be a Cubist you have to have been born in Málaga”. Some of the key attractions in the city are of course the Alcazaba and the Renaissance Cathedral. There is also a cathedral in the heart of the recently restored historic city center which also attracts a great deal of visitors. The Picasso Museum is yet another hot spot for art lovers. In terms of beaches, one of the most popular beaches in the city is the La Malagueta beach. For one of the best views make sure to visit the 11th century Gibralfaro castle. Paying a visit to the CAC Malaga Contemporary Art Center is also definitely worthwhile. If you like to party, then you will be pleased to know that Malaga parties late into the night. There are several bars along the beach of LaMalagueta and Pedregalejo while the old town is full of clubs and live music bars where you are sure to have a great night. Some of the other hotspots include Calle Granada, Plaza de la Merced and Calle de las Beatas in the Old Town. For a spot of relaxation head down to the Paseo del Parque promenade, which is dotted with fountains, and the Puerta Oscura Gardens that offers magnificent vistas.
Despite being a growing town Ronda retains much of its historic charm, particularly its old town. It is famous worldwide for its dramatic escarpments and views, and for the deep El Tajo gorge that carries the rio Guadalevín through its centre. Visitors make a beeline for the 18th century Puente Nuevo 'new' bridge, which straddles the 100m chasm below, before taking in the views from the Alameda out over the Serranía de Ronda mountains.
A few kilometres from Ronda, just outside the white village of Benaojan lies one of the most spectacular cave systems in Spain, and in the mouth of one, several galleries of cave paintings that are as old as 30,000 years, and were created by paleolithic people of Ronda before the last great ice age. Best of all, the caves are open to the public with a local tour guide to explain the significance of the artwork.
Colloquially known as The Rock, (or simply 'Gib'), is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom sitting at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Spain to the north and the people of Gibraltar are ferociously loyal British citizens despite being bilingual in English and Spanish.
Gibraltar is a unique place for the curious traveler. Take time to explore the caves and tunnels especially those not meant for tourists! The inside of the rock is an absolute labyrinth with secret internal roads and tunnels four times longer than those on the surface. Military presence and security in this otherwise deserted area is strong but almost invisible.
