After breakfast, the private taxi will take you to the farm for the ride around the hills of the area (one hour ride) or by the sea (two-hour ride), depending on the tide. After the ride, Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat will bring you back to the hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast, the private taxi will take you to the farm for the ride around the hills of the area (one hour ride) and back to the hotel for check-out.
Horses
There are four horses available in total. This means that Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat can accept a maximum of four persons at a time
Skill level
No previous experience is needed. The ride for beginners will be done with the instructor walking with them.
Location
Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat is located in the village of Pyrgiotika, just 8.5 km from the bustling harbour of Nafplio, where the city's main car park is located. Its strategic location ensures easy access to the most important parts of Argolida, giving the opportunity for excursions to wonderful archaeological monuments and sights as well as beautiful beaches with crystal blue waters and idyllic surroundings. Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat is 19 km from Argos, 12 km from Tolo, 24 km from Mycenae and 22 km from Epidaurus.
Below, you will find GPS coordinates and some driving instructions (from Athens airport) in order to find the hotel very easy.
From Athens airport please take the Attiki Odos towards to Elefsina. Then, take the National Highway Athens-Patra (A8). In Corinth turn left towards to Tripoli, taking the Highway Corinth-Tripoli (A7). Exit at the junction of Ancient Nemea which is the second exit after the tolls of "Spathovouni" and follow the signs to Nafplion in the old national road.
On your way to Nafplion, 2-3km before, you will see the sign of Epidaurus-Tolo. You need to turn left there, following the signs to Epidaurus. This is the peripheral road of the city of Nafplion. You will meet 3 big round about. You go straight when you meet the first 2 round about and you turn left when you meet the 3rd one. After turning left there and exactly 3km later you will see the sign of the village "Pirgiotika". You turn left there, to go in the village, and then just follow the signs of the hotel. You almost arrived since you still need only 5min driving.
The GPS coordinates of the hotel are the following: Lat: 37.588526, Long: 22.875477.
Important notification: The last part of the road, from the village "Pirgiotika" till the hotel (around 1km), the road is narrow and uphill since the hotel is in the countryside, at the top of a hill, among beautiful orange groves and olive groves. Just drive slow and you do not need to worry since the width of the road is more than enough for 2 vehicles. It is also very rare to find traffic since the hotel is the only establishment in the area with 14 rooms only. Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat places special emphasis on local, organic products and prepares handmade delicacies made with materials from the Greek land that are all well worth trying. Choose spoon sweets in syrup, freshly baked cakes, and traditional pies, delicious cookies, fresh eggs and milk, cold cuts, and selected local dairy products, cereals, natural orange juice straight from the orange grove and, of course, the coffee you prefer. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the specially designed area of the restaurant; while starting from the first summer days, you can enjoy it on the patio by the pool. There is no extra charge for early morning breakfast but it is done according to availability.
Upon request, breakfast can be served in your room or you can ask for an early morning breakfast service (extra charge). All the Greek dishes offered carry the official certification “Hellenic Breakfast" by the Hotel Chamber of Greece.
