João Barros

João has won eight national titles as a coach and competed in more than 100 international competitions up to 1.40-meter level. He speaks Portuguese and English.

Antonio Portela Carneiro

Antonio is a professional rider who has twice been crowned national champion in show jumping. He has represented Portugal at the WEGs in Aachen and European Championships in Mannheim as well as in numerous nations' cups. He speaks Portuguese and English.

Silvio Teixeira

Silvio is a Brazilian native and professional rider who has ridden in more than 200 international competitions. He is currently one of the most competitive riders on the Portuguese show jumping circuit. He speaks Portuguese.

Miguel Santos

Miguel is a professional rider and devoted trainer who competes at the top national level. He speaks Portuguese and English.

Anna Lindberg

Anna is a Swedish native and professional rider who has competed up to 1.60 meters international GP level. She speaks Swedish, English, and Portuguese.

Portugal Equestrian made me feel like I belonged. The horses are terrific and instructors Anna and Astrid were outstanding. Patricia , my program host was great and nothing was too much trouble.

My riding improved and I am making plans to return next year. Everything about the place ticked every box. I cannot fault it. I am so grateful to the instructors!

I would like to say Huge Thanks to everyone!! Me and my friend Marie had the best time and training we could only imagine! Warm welcoming by Melissa and all the staff and i cant not not to mention cute dogs :) Amazing and professional training with Anna, best trainer i ever had! She is extremely great in explanations on each training point! We had 5 days course, hotel, lunch pick up was perfectly organised! 20 stars out of 10 ! Cant wait to come back as i already missed my besties Must and Winston! 🧡

"Exactly what I needed"

Everything during the week was perfect and super welcoming: the trainers, lovely horses, stable, rings, accommodation, tack, etc, etc ! Anna, Melissa, Astrid, were excellent !!! The place and training are very professional, beautiful, and friendly. It was exactly what I was looking for and it exceeded my expectations. I definitely want to go again.

"Top quality lessons "

I liked the one-on-ones alot! As a beginner, I learned a lot in my 3 days which I haven’t really learned into detail in my 3 months of riding back home. Miguel was very patient, very clear with his instructions and was very assuring too that I can do it. :)

"Absolutely fabulous holiday!"

Such a fantastic holiday! Beautiful, talented schoolmasters and absolutely top class instruction. Extremely friendly and welcoming team and instructors that feel completely invested in your progress throughout the week (but will also make it fun)! Can't beat this.

(I didn't stay in the accommodation so can't comment on food or accommodation but everything else was perfect).
