Day 2

On this unforgettable day, leave the equestrian center at around 10 a.m. and cross the place of Las Gariñas, a majestic pine forest in which it is very easy to see roe deer, foxes, rabbits, and countless birds such as nightingale greens, woodpeckers, and cuckoos. Follow the course of the Lozoya River and arriving at Mangirón, a town famous for its stone quarries, cross the "hospitalillo" and join the Genaro path, a very popular path in the Community of Madrid.

From this moment, go all the time observing the majesty and beauty of the El Atazar reservoir, it is the largest in the Community of Madrid with a capacity of 425.3 hm³, it represents 46% of the dammed volume of the region. You will be served food in a restaurant. Return quietly through the pasture and cross its recently restored stone bridge and from the Cincovillas Peak, have a spectacular panoramic view of the valley; have a panoramic on horseback through the old town and arrive at the stables.

Day 3

Leave the equestrian center at around 9:30 a.m. and ride to the Navarredonda pass in the heart of Madrid's Sierra Norte. There, you will have a picnic with Iberian sandwiches, wine, and water with spectacular views of the Middle Valley of the Lozoya River. After eating, descend to the swamp and ride along the Pinilla Swamp, the main artery that supplies water to the city of Madrid.

Follow the course of the Lozoya River; to change the landscape, you will totally cross oak forests, cross the Lozoya River by the stone bridge, make a brief pause to contemplate and photograph this bridge of great architectural value. Eat at the Port of Canencia, picnic-type, and continue to have coffee or tea in Garganta de los Montes, a beautiful town with a lot of charm. This day, finish the route around 8 p.m., making several stops to rest.

Day 4

Leave the equestrian center at 9:30 a.m., cross the meadow and a beautiful pine forest in which you can also see some holly and start the ascent to Puerto Linera, which is the limit of the province of Madrid with Segovia. Take the picnic with one of the most beautiful views of the entire tour.

Continue much of the route through the long rope of the mountain range until you reach the port of Arcones, at this point, you will be able to observe the flight of the vultures, which are very numerous at this point. Later, arrive at the mountain known as the hillside of the toad, where you will begin your descent through an ancient pass used by the ancient shepherds who traveled with their flocks. Make a rest stop in a beautiful town in the mountains with a very well-preserved stone architecture; then, return to the equestrian center.

Day 5

On this day, face a high mountain route, leave the equestrian center heading north and cross the bunker network of the civil war of the "cerrillos de gascones". Go up to the Santuil refuge at the heart of the Carpetanos mountains, there, take the picnic and after the lunch break, walk a mountain road with impressive views.

In this area, on some occasions, Riding & Sun has been able to observe the Iberian wolf but it is an animal that can be seen on rare occasions. Arrive in the afternoon at the forest house of La Tejera and make a pleasant stop to water the horses; descend along the old train track and arrive at the abandoned train station then return to the equestrian center.

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to Madrid airport (costs not included). All clients will travel to the airport at the same time, so if anyone needs to arrive in Madrid before noon, they will all go together or an alternative transfer will be arranged all at additional costs.
