The Oratory School
Nestled in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside, The Oratory School, with expansive grounds, offers a wealth of sports facilities, including a golf course, real tennis courts, and multiple lawn tennis courts, providing students with ample opportunities to stay active and engaged.
Founded in 1859, the Oratory School boasts a rich history and is home to many of its original buildings. It’s no surprise that renowned author J.R.R. Tolkien chose one of their beautiful rooms to pen a portion of his literary masterpiece, “The Hobbit.”
In the last century, the Oratory School has gained recognition for its success in Real Tennis, and has become a favourite destination for the Royal Family, who have visited numerous times to play against both staff and students.
There will be single, twin, triple, and quad rooms with the same price regardless of room type. The room is equipped with bedding, single beds, a wardrobe, bin, desk, chair, and a lamp. Students are housed by gender and, if sharing, will be with someone around their age.

Whether you're a seasoned equestrian with your own trusty steed back home or a total newcomer to the world of riding, Samiad has programmes to cater to all skill levels.
In collaboration with renowned equestrian centres, Samiad has crafted a 2-week journey that not only hones your English language skills but also forges global friendships. For this holiday, Samiad works with Hall Place Equestrian Centre, which is about a 20-minute drive from The Oratory campus.
At Samiad, students embark on a multifaceted equine journey, from the gentle art of grooming and tacking up to the adrenaline-pumping thrills of show jumping and countryside hacks. Gain proficiency in English as you master the intricacies of equipment, tack, and equine anatomy.
Rest assured, safety is paramount. Samiad provides safety hats, but if you prefer your child to wear a body protector, kindly bring your own. Join this holiday for an equine odyssey that combines language, friendship, and the sheer joy of riding.

Take part in every aspect of working at stables, from catching the horses, washing, and cleaning them to going on countryside hacks or even learning to jump for the first time. This programme is tailored to your ability while giving you the chance to socialise with other horse-loving students every afternoon.

The programme is designed to help students improve their English language proficiency through a variety of engaging activities and lessons.
