The splendid 17th-century castle, Castello di Santa Cristina, has been owned by the noble Caterini family for generations. It is located in southern Tuscany halfway between Orvieto and Siena, closely bordering the regions of Umbria and Tuscany, and an hour and a half from Rome. A few meters from the castle is the ancient village, which in the past represented the center of all the company's production activities.
The farm has been transformed into a welcoming and comfortable structure, where comfortable apartments furnished with antiques, mostly coming from the castle, have been created.
Program
Horse riding
There will be:
- 2 half-day riding - approximately 2\3 hours each
- 1 full day riding - approximately 4\5 hours each (only for experienced riders)
The full day riding is for expert/advanced riders (the third level of the riding form). In case the riders are not experienced enough, the full day will be split into two half-day rides.
- Important: In July and August, because of the high temperatures, you will do 2 hacks instead of the full day.
Cycling
There will be:
- 3 cycling days around the beautiful area (self-guided) - The itinerary will depend on the level (Santa Cristina Castle will give Strava's path)
If you want, Santa Cristina Castle also offers a service of very good local guides who will accompany you around the beautiful area, explaining all the historical features of the region. One of them is suitable for competitive riders, being one himself: Bike guide Massimo.

Zuzka is a horse trainer in the fast show jumping yards in Germany.
Kate
Kate is an ex-officer of the mounted police. She has been working with Santa Cristina Castle for the last three years.

Daily breakfast is included in the price. There is always a fixed menu for lunch and dinner. Santa Cristina Castle provides vegetarian and vegan options. For gluten-free meals, they need a supplementary fee of 5 EUR.
