Join Santa Cristina Castle for a residential summer camp to combine a cultural and historical experience with English language practice and improve your equitation skills. Santa Cristina Castle offers small-class custom tuition in English in all aspects of caring for and having fun with your equine partner.

Accommodation
A few meters from the castle is the ancient restored farmhouses, which in the past represented the heart of all the company’s production activities. The farm has been transformed into a welcoming and comfortable structure, where comfortable apartments furnished with antiques, mostly coming from the Castle, have been created.
Program
Day 1
After the check-in, your kids will meet our guides for an introduction and program briefing and take a guided tour of the Castle.
Day 2 - 7
Enjoy 2 hours per day of riding divided into lessons 50’ and 1-hour treks.
Day 8: Departure
Having had many amazing experiences and exhilarating adventures, you will prepare for your onward journey taking with you many happy memories. Checkout is usually between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., although a late checkout can be arranged subject to availability.

PLEASE NOTE: The excursions can be changed according to weather, horses, riders' experience level, or circumstances beyond the control of the management of the castle. Safety is Santa Cristina Castle's primary concern.
The summer camp is for children and kids from 9 until 17 years old, for all levels. The holiday requires a minimum number of 4 kids.
The horses
Santa Cristina Castle has a range of horses and ponies from Italian breeds such as Maremmano and Murghese to European sport horses, Anglo-Arab and thoroughbred, all with their own loveable “horsenalities”.
Location
This holiday is located in Southern Tuscany, one and a half hours from Rome, halfway between Orvieto and Siena, closely bordering the regions of Umbria and Tuscany. The breathtakingly splendid 17th-century castle, Castello di Santa Cristina, has been the property of the noble Caterini family for generations and has its own fairy-tale turret!
Over the past ten years, the castle’s nearby 18th century ivy-covered farmhouse and out-buildings have been carefully restored to retain their authenticity and separated into 8 self-catering cottages and 14 bedrooms with Bed & Breakfast for guests, furnished with original pieces it can offer you unique country holidays.
A perfect location for family holidays where you can explore the various neighboring historic towns including Orvieto, Sorano, Acquapendente, Grotte Di Castro, and many more. Santa Cristina Castle offers sensational Tuscan cuisine, fantastic cooking courses, and unique weddings on the castle grounds.
The Castello di Santa Cristina is also an ideal place for a horse riding holiday. On the exciting trail excursions, guests travel as far as Proceno, Lake Bolsena, Lake Mezzano, and the beautiful nature reserve Selva Del Lamone. Riding lessons are something you should not miss when on a holiday with children.
