You will practice yoga, spend time with horses, and kick up your heels on this retreat. You will stay at Windrosen-Ranch, a comfortable but simple and rustic accommodation.


This three-day retreat begins at 15:00 on the arrival (Monday) and ends at noon on Wednesday. You will practice yoga outside (and inside) and bond with kind and personable horses. ShaktiYoga will try to create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere for strangers to come together and bond in the most intimate yet open setting imaginable. You'll explore the link between yoga and riding to improve not only your saddle skills but also your overall well-being.

Through yoga poses and breathing techniques, you will learn how to improve balance and body alignment. Best of all, experience how the horse-human connection deepens as you practice yoga. You'll take all that out on the trail and ride with new friends both human and equine on scenic trails, immersing yourselves in nature and the cowgirl yoga spirit.

You will experience daily yoga classes that build body awareness and help foster an openness of body and mind. It is the best state to be in around horse and that targets common trouble spots for riders, such as the back and hips, and also pays special attention to cultivating core strength (the center of the body's energy). You will also get the chance to experience cowgirls lesson, covering horse-human interaction, grooming, and groundwork basics (required for all levels of equestrians).

What is more, you will learn the Peace Of Mind Technique and find out about communication skills and relationships. You will have riding sessions and bonding time as well (time with the horses will be both in and out of the saddle). Moreover, you will get pre-ride yoga in the saddle. A focus on yogic breathing will foster a relaxed yet alert posture on horseback and you'll explore a variety of yoga poses you can do when riding to instantly release tension and relax you (and your horse).

Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Jessyca is the founder of Shakti Yoga and The Shakti Yoga Wheel. She has been practicing yoga since she was 20 and is a registered experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance Arlington, Virginia, USA. As a yoga and Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction teacher, she has started to combine her body and mind work with the seemingly separate worlds of horsemanship and equine-guided self-development. She shifted her orientation from traditional horsemanship to seeing the horse as a sentient being who can actually guide you into a deeper connection with yourselves.


On this retreat, you will stay at Windrosen-Ranch, Vulkaneifel, Germany.


During this retreat, you will be served healthy, delicious meals cooked by Windrosen-Ranch' owners (Daniela, Nico, and family) to satisfy your cowgirl cravings and maintain your energy.
