Chemical analysis of the minerals in the hot springs shows that they have the best hot springs in Arenal, La Fortuna with the highest parts per million of beneficial minerals. Tests of our hot mineral springs reveal an ideal natural combination of high bicarbonate and high chlorides with relatively low sulfur content to provide a safe and clean soaking experience.
Las Lagunas (The Lagoons), located at the base of the reception building, encompass two acres of lush landscaping and an assortment of multi-level sun and shade terraces surrounding twelve pools. Four of the pools are fed directly by water pumped from the hot mineral springs and the other eight are chlorinated but heated to various temperatures by our Hot Springs through a heat exchange system. These pools range in temperature from 83˚F to 103˚F.
The 14.000-square foot full-service spa encompasses one entire level of our reception building and reflects the serious commitment to providing a complete treatment experience to replenish your mind, body, and soul. Massages, facials, body wraps, manicures, and pedicures are offered in a luxurious and holistic setting administered by trained professionals with the latest technology.
The treatment menu utilizes tropical botanical ingredients indigenous to the country as well as a variety of lab-tested, therapeutic volcanic clays harvested on the property near the hot springs. This two-bedroom, two-bath guest room occupies an even higher elevation than the Alta Vista units and enjoys an even more spectacular view of the volcano and countryside. The master bedroom has the same layout as the vista but the bathroom is larger with a special arched ceiling and lighting feature behind the jacuzzi tub.

The master bedroom and living room comprise a spacious great room concept with 14-foot vaulted ceilings. The great room has a king-size bed and seating area with a sofa and chairs and the master bath has a window-front jacuzzi overlooking the pool and volcano.
The second bedroom has a king-size bed and its own bathroom and mini-bar. There is also a full kitchen, oversized terrace, and heated infinity plunge pool with jets. In the master bedroom, there is space available for two additional twin-size beds.
One of the most popular amenities included with the Villa Guayaba is the use of a four-person golf cart. The use of this golf cart is restricted to the area between the villas and the resort reception building above them and cannot be taken down the mountain to the Club Rio Adventure Center or the Wildlife Sanctuary.

The third bedroom has its own separate entrance and a king-size bed with its own bathroom but does not have a view of the volcano. These two rooms share a terrace balcony overlooking the beautiful resort pools. In the master bedroom, there is space available for two additional twin-size beds.
The Palm Bungalow features 950 square feet (90 square meters) of indoor and outdoor living space along with an oversized outdoor jacuzzi nestled amidst its own private garden. Along with a fantastic view of the Arenal Volcano, the bedroom area features a spacious vaulted ceiling and a grand marble master bath with a jacuzzi tub, an oversized indoor shower, and a landscaped outdoor garden shower.
It also boasts a fully stocked wet mini-bar with refrigerator and coffee maker as well as a 47” LCD TV and a surround sound system. The outdoor living space includes a loggia with two hammocks and a sundeck with a dining table and lounge.
There will be 2 riding days. Tours are available at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Their schedule can be flexible giving you time to do other things.
The venue is located in La Fortuna, Arenal, Costa Rica. The resort perches 1000 feet above the Arenal Valley on a mountain ridge just 6 kilometers north of the active volcano but safely outside the government declared danger zone. The hotel’s higher altitude allows for not only incomparable views of the Arenal Volcano, the lush valley, and the surrounding towns that sparkle at night, but also access to the area’s famous prevailing breezes. In fact, the name Arenal volcano is an indigenous word meaning “window of the wind”.
