The horses
There are six very nice horses in the tour riding as well as an older mare who is now used for breeding. The horses are lively and forward and give a wonderful riding feeling. All are ridden variedly and trained in different disciplines.
There is a half-blood mare who has been trained for jumping, dressage, and eventing (the retired mare, Ronga), a thoroughbred who has raced in the Czech Republic and both jumps and is ridden in dressage (Hercules), and five warmbloods who, after careers on the trotting track, have become fantastic riding horses will be trained further in several disciplines (Allan, Stella, Berra, Yippee & Harry).
Insurance
The horses are insured with Agria and everyone who rides or stays around the horses is covered by their accident insurance. it is also recommended that you have your own accident insurance. The horses are kind, stable and safe, but all riding is at your own risk. There are large animals and accidents can happen.
Equipment
Bring your own riding equipment. Bring riding clothes adapted to the weather (if there is a risk of rain, you should have rainwear with you). A helmet is mandatory for everyone who rides. There are some helmets on loan if someone forgot, but it is recommended that you bring your own. Everyone under 18 must bring and wear a safety vest. Your own vest needs to be brought as there isn't any for lending. Long pants and shoes suited for riding are mandatory, riding shoes need to have a small heel (1+2cm.)
Riding levels: Advanced
This tour only accept riders who can easily handle horses in all gaits. The horses are kind, but if you are a beginner, the rides are not suitable. If you have only ridden on tour riding a few times before, the horses are not suitable as they require a completely different level of knowledge. The same thing if you have ridden your first semester at a riding school, then they are not completely suitable horses either.
If, on the other hand, you have ridden a lot in the past and are picking up your riding after a long break, it is no problem to ride the horses. A good yardstick is if you can saddle and bridle a horse yourself and can ride in trot and gallop without problems. If you are unsure, please send an inquiry before you book.
