Dream Haven Guest Ranch

So this was a birthday present for my daughters 18th and it has exceeded all expectations. If you want a carbon copy of what you see in the films, this place is it. The location is picture perfect with a very traditional montana cabin home. Home cooked food 3 times a day which was perfect too. The hosts Cathleen and puggy are truly amazing people who really do welcome you into their home and theres no pressure, you have free range around all the time.. as a non rider myself I ended up going out riding into the mountains and along with mackenzie (a guide who came to help) i was made to feel completely comfortable and really enjoyed it.. in a nutshell if your into horses or you have a Mrs or kid who is into horses this is the perfect (very reasonably priced for what you actually get) this is the perfect gift/holiday.. pretty much the best dad on the planet right now.. your in great hands with these people..

Wilderness and the beauty of the trails. Long trail rides with no one else but us. Excelent guides that adapt the trips to the level of the guest. Very healthy animals. Very nice hosts!!

From the start of booking to our final dropoff Caroline and Puggy were on top of it!!! Fast responses to my questions, warm hospitality that made us feel relaxed and very welcome. We got involved in helping with farm chores which was an added bonus. Their horses are incredible!!!The trails breathtaking!!! And excellent down home meals. So delicious!!! Definitely top notch all the way!!!! Sorry to have it end.

Everything we experienced during our 6 day riding stay was excellent. There is a feeling of being at home at Karoline and Puggys ranch with lots of animals outside and a few inside as well. The horses have access to hay 24/7 which keeps them calm. Watching them interact after the evening meal is a relaxing way to spend some time before heading for bed. Learning to saddle up and get ready for a ride is a great way to get to know your selected horse for your stay. Each saddel is different but the basics are the same and can be easily mastered but just be aware that the saddles are heavy as you swing them up. Grace, Karoline or the other wrangler/s are always there to explain and assist as you become more confident in your saddling skills. Enjoy the animals around the farm - play ball with the dog Beau, watch the goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys and calves. Try and pet the outdoor cats (not always possible) and leave any stress behind. There's a local rodeo in Columbia Falls each Thursday during the summer months if you're interested. Karoline and her helpers prepare ample delicious food for every meal. Bring your own alcohol if you'd like wine or beer with your meal. The trails can be dusty but the views are excellent wherever you ride. Riding in jeans (or riding pants), boots and a long sleeved shirt are recommended. There are helmets available to borrow. Transfers from the airport can be ordered through Karoline or take your own car. Plenty of parking space.

This is a friendly ranch with a good ethos of animal welfare to the front. The surrounding countryside is stunning with wooded hillsides as far as the eye can see. I enjoyed every trail ride through unspoilt back country with no other human in sight. Most afternoons we cooled off in the nearby lake. The riding was sufficiently challenging to include a cattle round up and a day long ride. I also enjoyed a trip to the rodeo

Aways people on the Ranch. The views were amazing and the all day ride to the lake was my favorite day. Also, the employees were so thoughtful. All the food was amazing thank you Melissa. McKenzie and Grace were also a joy to be on the trails with.

We loved riding the horses and visiting all the animals at Dream Haven Guest Ranch. The wranglers that took us on trail rides were incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, as well as patient and laid back. We were paired with beautiful horses and given plenty of instruction about the nuances of how each horse needed to be treated in order to have the most fun ride. When the wranglers were confident in our abilities, we got to trot and lope and it was a blast! The hosts Puggy and Caroline (sorry, I can't call her Worm!) are hospitable in the way that we felt like family; sharing home-cooked meals together, joining them for impromptu walks or chores, stargazing, etc. We had amazing times with the hosts and the staff, as well as with other guests!

Caroline and Puggy were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. They provided a wonderful experience for our whole family. They spent time with us getting to know us. They were very accommodating and personable. They did their best to accommodate the more experienced riders in our family. We laughed a lot and were provided very nice food. Highly recommend. Because it's not a massive ranch on an industrial scale, the time was so much more personable and special.

Everyone I dealt with at the ranch was wonderful. If there is anything you want to make your visit better, simply ask. Also had fun playing with the pets. Looking forward to going back soon.

The riding was exceptional, exploring trails and free riding up and down the mountain.

The horses were excellent very friendly, easy to ride and responsive. We were well matched to our horses.

The after riding experiences were fantastic including skeet shooting and visiting the Rodeos.

Overall it was the perfect ranch experience.

They made me feel at home - literally. They were very patient with this newbie and gracious with their instructions. The wranglers and owners are very knowledgeable and that comes through in their treatment of horse riders regardless of their experience. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to all horse-riding enthusiasts!

Worm, Puggy, and Grace were all fantastic and everyone I met was truly welcoming and kind. I went into this without any experience riding, apart from your local pony fair ride, and everyone was kind and patient and never made me feel less for being a novice. I left my week long stay with a good foundation of horseback riding and knowledge I can take with me for future horseback riding. The ranch is welcoming and comfortable and makes you feel at home. Make sure you come hungry! They will feed you here! Great meals, and generous portions. Theres lots of animals on property and truly makes you feel part of the farm ranch lifestyle. The true wonder of the stay is the views are absolutely breathtaking, and something no screen or Hollywood could never recreate unless seen in real life. I truly did look forward to riding every day, twice daily, and truly immersing myself into the Montana mountains and scenery, and none of my pictures will every do it justice to the real thing. This is not your average trail ride, there is no distinct trail that your horse has memorized, you are truly horseback riding into the wilderness, cowboy style. I plan to come back and would hopefully stay here again if available. I’ll bring some new cards for the house with me. Although the ranch hand, Grace, has some interesting eyebrows.

Wonderful people, all of them, so sweet and lovely. Wonderful animals, all of them. Wonderful location, we've experienced so much and it gave us so much energy. We already miss the way of life we had there now that we're on our way back.

My wife and I had a great time, the horses were well kept well trained and beautiful animals. Our host Caroline was fantastic, you actually felt part of the family. You had breakfast, lunch and dinner with the family and the food was great. Finally a mention of our wrangler Grace, she's just the best.

I tend not to review places, but this is a brilliant place, the wrangler grace was amazing, the owners were so friendly and knowledgeable, if you want to be massively or mediumly or even not much involved this has it all. Fundamentally it’s all about a lot of riding, great food, great company, and here has all of it.

I loved the horses, the many other animals, and the owners of the ranch. Wonderful people. Wonderful experience.

Just got back from a 6 day break…what a Gem of a place…great hospitality…great staff…great food…great location…great accommodation…great horses who are so well looked after and trail riding….you will not find better & the staff go the extra mile to keep you smiling nothing was too much…thank you all for making my stay a very happy 1….ill be back for definite in the near future…love you all from a very happy Yam Yam….that 1’s for you Puggy 👍🏻

We only wanted a 3 day stay and not a week and they were one of a few that offered it. We only wanted to ride horse and nothing else - they did not disappoint. We rode morning and afternoon. I had told them when we booked the vacation that I would like to lope one last time in my life and they did not disappoint! It was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be. Horses and riding all day! Luna was the best match horse for me. Red was a bit pokey for my husband but a very good horse. Breath taking scenery!

It felt like you were among family at Dream Haven Guest Ranch. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful & funny. Great food sitting around a large table with laughter in the air. So many beautiful horses and other animals: goats, chickens, sheep, a cow named Myrtle and 2 dogs; Moose & Beau. Thank you for an amazing time. Three days wasn't nearly enough time spent with some great people, who I refer to as my newest friends.

Food was excellent. Grace was sweet. McKenzie was amazing!! Horses were well behaved and in good condition which was great to see. Owners were sweet. Could see that all animals were loved which is great! The dogs were as sweet as can be! Loved Moose and Bo! Location was lovely and scenery on rides were lovely,

Accommodating hosts and good instructors to show you around and not least tell you about the horses and Western riding.

Good food 3 times a day as well as a trip to the Rodeo in Kalispell which must be experienced. The nature is fantastic and magnificent, an experience that is fantastic on horseback. You ride twice a day and have fantastic experiences with your own horse during your stay. The horses are well trained and brought up. Can only recommend Dream Heaven Ranch

Right from the start, the communication and help was second to none. I was collected from the station on time, and taken to the airport when I left. I have been welcomed like one of thier own family. This part of my trip has been the highlight! Everyday was fun, different and educational and everyone from Dream Haven played a part in making this a trip of a lifetime, and I cannot thank them enough for welcoming me in such a way that it felt like home straight away. Dream Haven does not have a large corporate ranch feel, it is a warm, personal and engaging experience. I mucked in and mucked out, fed the animals, and got invloved, and I loved it! I miss this place already, and I will be back as soon as I can

If you want an authentic Montana ranch experience with a focus on riding, this is the place for you. From the very first step into the lodge you feel like family. Horses are well cared for and are in stunning shape. Scenery is spectacular with plenty of area to explore with seasoned wranglers.

The shared house is very clean with plenty of space to spread out.

They have plenty of animals on the property who create a cacophony sounds which was music to my ears.

At night I was able to see the stars and a brilliant moon and have wondered at the Big Sky.

Everyone of the staff were friendly, accommodating, and wanted us to have a good time.

If you are looking for a dude ranch resort with a prescribed itinerary this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for an authentic Montana ranch experience inclusive of alot of riding, 3 Squares a day plus lodging in the mountains then you need to book this place.

We spent 3 days in this very peaceful place. We felt as we were at home. All the team of the Dreamhaven Ranch (Carolyne and Puggy, Alyssa and Heidi) was very nice to us. The horse riding was amazing in the countryside of Marion. Everything was very relaxing.

What we loved the most about Dream Haven Guest Ranch was that we felt part of the family from day 1. Fun activities (for both who rides and who doesn’t) and amazing landscapes of Montana. All the animals are well treated. A special thank you to the guide Alyssa.

Loved everything… the scenery was beautiful and the trail rides were exciting and different every day. We were able to help with daily chores and even got to participate in a day of moving cattle.

The horse ride is great with knowledgeable and friendly guide and interesting/ challenging trail. The starry night is a bonus.

this was one of the best retreats I’ve had in a long time. Everyone was very friendly, but more importantly they genuinely care about their guess! I would hundred percent stay again, and will come back with my children.

Our trail guide,Alyssa was amazing. The owners Pudgy and Worm were delightful. Worm is an excellent cook and the meals were wonderful. She was very respectful of our children's food allergies. I loved learning to shoot. I got to let my wild side loose. This was a vacation beyond my dreams. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who loves horses, adventures, and good company.

All the animals, beautiful horses, lots of riding, comfortable beds, the hosts(!!!!) - Wurm, Puggy, Heidi and Jason, shooting targets with the .22 rifle, flexibility in accommodating our arrival/departure, responsiveness to questions leading up to the trip, hearty breakfasts

We loved everything about the Ranch. The animals, our hosts, the scenery, the food, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing and inviting. The trail rides were perfectly tailored to my families experience (none). Our stay there was literally our best family holiday we have ever had.

Great team, friendly, open and accommodating. Couldn’t ask for more. Got to ride, visit a rodeo and sleet shoot. Horses were fantastic to ride for novices and experienced riders alike. Thoroughly recommended!

The food was very good, the lodging was comfortable and quiet, and the riding was wonderful. Not only did we do 2 trail rides per day, but we also got a couple of intensive instruction sessions in the arena, which significantly increased our skills.

You really felt like home at Dream Haven ranch. Excellent food, friendly people, beautiful horses.. you just felt like one big family. I would love to go there again.

Everyone at the ranch is so friendly! The horses are very well-cared for and loved. I think one of our favorite parts about the entire experience was just sitting down and talking with the owners and manager at night. They have some of the best stories. Very sweet and happy place. The food was absolutely amazing! And the rodeo was the best I've ever been to! I would go back 1000x if they weren't across the country from me! We are already missing our time spent there and hope to visit again some day.

Everything was wonderful, well thought out, planned for. The horses were lovely and well cared for and loved. The hosts were especially awesome and we couldn’t have asked for better time. Food was excellent and super accommodating. Comfy beds/rooms. One big happy family in common areas. Lots to do and see. Great for couples or families!
