I have done a lot of riding holidays and this one is one of the very best. The whole experience was like visiting friends, Mariana and Pedro take care of everything and their passion for what they do is evident. The horses are a highlight, very well cared for and trained and a real pleasure to ride, setting out over the mountains riding a beautiful horse is such a thrill. The wild scenery is stunning, and seeing the herds of wild Garano horses which live there makes it extra special, the ride to the remote and protected Wolf Valley is a highlight. You stay in a lovely old stone built cottage, very comfortable and cozy, and every meal is home cooked and delicious. We were all vegetarians and the food was very varied and tasty, which is not often the case.

If you love exploring remote and beautiful areas from the back of a horse then you should do this trip, very highly recommended!

There was no one best thing. Everything was truly amazing. My friends and I go on riding holidays every year and this was the best experience we have had. The horses are well mannered, kind and forward going. Pedro and Marianna treat them with the utmost care. They are passionate about what they do and very knowledgeable of the local area. The food is all home cooked by Mariana and brought to the door of the accommodation and served up and cleared away too! Pedro and Mariana dine with you and you feel for a short time as part of the family! I love the uniqueness of this experience. I can honestly say I have never been wined and dined with a table, doned with a table cloth, proper cutlery and homed cooked hot food at the top of a mountain before whilst the horses graze beside us. The accommodation has everything you could possibly need and is cozy and clean with comfy beds after a fantastic days ride. One day it did rain and a wind got up whilst riding so Pedro me us half way around the ride with warm coats. Mariana and Pedro work tirelessly to provide a most wonderful experience but make it all look so seamless. They and their horses are amazing. I would recommend this holiday to anybody who has experience in riding. Loved every minute and will be booking again next year. Food and wine with your meal is included, we had no need for any further food during our stay. The only thing I would say is that if you like a latte then take some sachets with you!.

The whole week was truly memorable. The passion Mariana and Pedro have for what they do and provide was very evident, from the horses to the countryside and the history, to their care of their guests, including my non riding husband, was second to none. Their particular attention to matching me up with the right horse was much appreciated. They are fit, agile and sure footed as cats. A real pleasure to ride. This has been a truly unforgettable experience and my thanks go to them both.

Mariana and Pedro are fantastic hosts and cooks. The rides through the park were beautiful and included cantering and galloping. Bring rain gear just in case, especially in the shoulder seasons.

The whole experience was spectacular. I wouldn’t have changed one thing. Food was home cooked and authentic, hospitality was endearing and informative, the horses were strong and very happy.

Housing was clean and tastefully decorated.

Highly recommend this trip if you love open air, mountain riding and great company.

Hard to say one thing was the best….Mariana and Pedro made this week over the top amazing. The hospitality felt like family. They love to take care of people and share their beautiful animals and incredible landscape they call home. They listen deeply to each person to understand which horse is best suited for them. They provided instruction when needed to protect their horses and guests. Safety was always a top priority. No words can describe fully the beauty of the terrain and the excitement of riding next to wild herds of horses and cattle.

Mariana wears many hats including “Chef”. Food never disappoints. Delicious, healthy and delightful desserts at lunch and dinner daily.

This was an incredible bonding adventure for my husband and myself and my best friend! We are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

The horses are very well cared for and trained, especially Mr. Dede. The food is amazing, Mariana puts a lot of effort into making healthy and delicious meals everyday. Overall I was very happy with my experience, the Guides were very accommodating and were always trying to help, with what ever we needed.
