      Excellent ‘once in a lifetime’ horseriding experience

      Heiko and Jazmine were brilliant hosts. Hacienda Sassenberg was a lovely place to stay, my own Hacienda was luxurious extremely clean and had everything I needed. Both additional activities I requested (Sea Turtle Stay and White Water Rafting) were arranged perfectly. Heiko and Jazmine definitely went above and beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. Heiko’s horsemanship and excellent training made my experience truly unique and Jazmine’s cooking and hospitality was unbelievable! I definitely recommend this trip to anyone who would like to experience the real Costa Rica.

      Paradise at Hacienda Sassenberg

      Heiko and Jazmine are the perfect hosts, with her style seen throughout the property and culinary delights at every meal and his wonderful horse training ability & organization throughout the Hacienda, trail maintenance & trail routes. We woke to birds singing and dogs greeting us on our way to breakfast, deliciously prepared & beautifully presented to send us on our daily rides. Heiko selected our mounts and spent time in the arena helping us get acquainted with his lovely horses. As an English rider I found his western instruction invaluable that made for a very enjoyable daily ride on his well trained horses. Each day was better than the last filled with surprises from waterfalls and swimming pond to birds and lush vegetation of the cloud forest, mixing with the local community & sharing wonderful meals with lively conversation and oh so many laughs. It was at the same time adventurous and relaxing. A wonderful winter break that was a pure piece of paradise.

      Magical Trip!!!!

      Heiko is an excellent horse trainer, we felt very safe with him. At the same time he made everything fun and just magical. All the food was amazing! His accommodations were beautiful and spotless clean. His riding equipment was all top notch. Everything was so much better than we expected. We honestly felt we have made lifelong friends. I can not even explain how breathtaking the vistas where we rode through were.
