The scenery and spring flowers are spectacular but the real highlight was the history and our guide Sara's deep knowledge of history and archeology. The horses were really nice and very safe. The food was a bit overwhelming. Nobody was ever hungry. I would do it again, for sure.

Safe horses, a very knowledgeable guide, beautiful trails. Oh, and the food and family! The trip was well organized. We were never left wondering what was next. We rode in the mornings, toured ruins in the afternoons and ate wonderful meals in the evenings.

Everything: the locations, Sara, the owner & guide, the horses, the archeology, history & local information Sara shared, the weather, Sara’s family who all helped to make it enjoyable.

What an incredible trip! If you have the chance to do this, you absolutely should. There’s no better way to experience Portugal and Spain. You will be completely immersed in their landscape, history, and culture. You will experience the best of their food and wine, and of course horses! This trip is organized by a small family-run stable, and you will be welcomed into the family like a pampered guest. Sara, the guide, clearly loves to lead these trips. She is eager to share her homeland, it’s history and stories, flora and fauna. She has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the area and will lead you to extraordinary places even most locals have never seen! Overall I cannot recommend this trip enough. It’s a truly unique experience and one you will talk about for the rest of your life.
