Thank you, Alexia, Anne and Michel for a truly special, unforgettable experience. I arrived as a novice, never having cantered in a light seat, and not feeling very confident in my ability. By the end of the week, I had gained not only new riding skills but also a deeper understanding of horse care and wellbeing. I experienced my first ever jump and my first canter on the beach - moments I never imagined I’d have, and ones I’ll carry with me forever! Somewhere along the way, something just clicked, and I’m now completely hooked and hungry for more adventures.

This week genuinely means so much to me, and I know these memories will stay with me forever. What makes it even more special is how much care, respect, and love you show your horses, it’s felt in everything you do!

I truly hope I’ll be back. With everything you’ve taught me and the confidence you’ve given me, maybe next time I’ll even be ready for one of the more challenging weeks ;)

Michel and Anne are the nicest, kindest people you are ever likely to meet. Michel is a real character who is passionate about his horses. I was made to feel like part of the family from day one. Michel pushes you hard but you learn a great deal from him. Alternatives were offered for people who struggled a bit and they were then able to re-join the main group. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the food absolutely excellent and the horses wonderful. I already miss Napolion, a huge and very lovely horse. I will be back.

Kind honest gentle people. Truly good. They care about you and your progress and your safety. Horses are well trained and sensitive. Fast progression, beautiful views, very intimate contact with horses. I learnt more in a week than I did in 2 years at my equestrian school. Judy

My daughter and I had a wonderful week in Mimizan. The rides were beautiful, long, and eventful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was very varied and excellently prepared. Our room was clean and comfortable.

I had a brilliant week in Mimizan with Anne and the other guests on the course. The horses were lovely and I really grew my confidence as a beginner. I loved going out to catch my horse each morning and the time spent grooming and tacking up etc. The trail rides were great and we were cantering through the forest on the first day, thanks to Anne's guidance/patience! I would recommend this holiday and would love to go back again. The homecooked food was also great and my room was very clean and comfortable.

I went from a complete beginner to galloping on the beach within a week of lessons. Anne was very patient with me and a very good instructor. The horses are lovely and clearly well looked after and cared for.

The food was excellent and Anne and Michel are very good and attentive hosts. There’s a sauna which was extremely useful for tired legs! My room was comfortable and warm, and very quiet. It was a really efficient way to begin horse riding

The lessons with Michel were amazing. He's extremely knowledgeable and you can sense he wants to share and discuss his knowledge with you. He really takes the time to explain the why behind the how, and he's always open to questions or furthering his explanations if there was anything you didn't understand.

I also appreciated how he adapted my lessons over the course of the week, starting with the basics (seeing as it's a long time since I've had instruction, this was an appreciated step before progressing) and building onto it throughout the week to work towards my goals that we discussed from the beginning.

The horses I got to ride were very nice, and I loved that I got to try a lot of different ones (7 over the course of 12 riding sessions). This allowed me to develop even more as a rider since their differences gives the chance to challenge different weaknesses and experience different strong sides.

Anne and Michel were extremely welcoming and I felt like a part of the family while I was there. There was always interesting conversations around the table, about everything from the region they live in, horses or the world in general, and the food was great!

I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back another time!

It was a dream like holiday. I had zero experience with horses prior to this. Michel is an amazing teacher... I was Galloping on the 3rd day...

The whole stay was extra ordinary. The reviews were good but this was beyond my expectancies. The rooms were very cosy, equipped with everything I needed and the meals were excellent.

Their horses are amazing!!! calm and dog like friendly. I already miss them...

They are also wonderful people helpful with everything. I got very lucky going low season. The weather was amazing even at the end of November. Thanks to low season I had one on one sessions with Michel! Lucky me!

I would definitely go again for another week in spring before they get busy! With a more experienced group this time ;)

I wanted to take a moment to thank you both for the amazing time I had at Centre Équestre le Marina. Michel is an incredible teacher and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Despite being a complete beginner, I was able to learn a lot during my first class. Thanks to Michel's guidance, I felt confident enough to gallop later in the same day. Beautiful, well-behaved horses are available for riders of all levels. Michel, our guide, was very attentive and considerate towards both the riders and horses. He possesses extensive knowledge about the area and ensures that all riders have an unforgettable experience. Galloping along the Atlantic coast was an absolute paradise moment that I will cherish forever.

And of course, I would like to express my gratitude to Anne, who made our stay incredibly special and comfortable. She is an exceptional host, teacher, and kind-hearted individual, with a wealth of fascinating stories to share! Thank you for being such a patient listener and an amazing storyteller. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend visiting this beautiful place ♥️

Instruction and teaching: I booked flexible riding as wasn't sure about my level. However during the first two days I was given such excellent training that from Wednesday I could join a group to do Atlantic coast trip. I had never been taught better.

Horses were just amazing, very well trained. Everyone absolutely adored their horses thinking they are the best.

Itinerary and organization: excellent. Galloping on the beach was the ultimate joy. Overall it was much better than i expected in every respect. Can't wait to travel with Ann and Michel again!

The ambience and the friendliness that Michel and his family have created. Plus the determination that Michel has to get the best out of everyone on the course.

We went for beginners/flexible riding with my 12 yo daughter. It was the best holiday we ever had. Accomodation and food was fantastic and exceeded all possible expectations. Horses are very well treated and all good character and very safe. Riding in the forest every day twice a day surrounded by beautiful nature of Bordeaux countryside. Our instructor Anne was very professional and gently took us both through this experience from the beginning till the end. We took part in feeding horses, which was unforgettable experience as well. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who considering such experience, but never tried it before. Anne and other instructors did their best for all guests to have unforgettable experience. Special thanks to Alexandra, who was cooking tasty and healthy meals every day. It was better than 5 star hotel.

This experience was fantastic. The horses were clearly well treated and enjoyed human company. The way in which they trained us to ride discouraged use of the bit and was far more ethical. The horses were responsive to it and were extremely stable, not spooked at all throughout the week. I would recommend.

I arrived with only a week of previous experience riding and by day 3 was riding with the much more advanced riders and galloping through forests with the group due to how good an instructor Michel and Anne were. I would do this again.

The food was fantastic as was the company.

This is LEIGH here, not her father. We had a great holiday, really enjoyed the hospitality and attention from our guides and all of the team. Scenery, beach and forest riding was fantastic. The team really went out of their way to make sure my father was well fed, despite his celiac disease. Overall very satisfied, but the Atlantic coast trail was not the trip I wanted to book.
