Gythion Bay Camping's swimming pool opens in April for you to enjoy a refreshing swim every day from 09:00 to 20:00 at no extra charge. It is for recreational purposes, with a height of 1.40 meters, accessible to everyone. For baby campers, there is also a smaller, shallow paddling pool.
The poolside tables have shady umbrellas and comfortable loungers where you can enjoy safe sunbathing with a view of the vast sea.
Benefit from an all-natural soothing experience, reclining on the built-in sunbeds next to the beach, where seawater overflowing with minerals such as potassium, magnesium, chloride, and sodium will relieve your body from tension and stress.
The bar offers a selection of fresh, tasty snacks, delectable desserts, and thirst-quenching drinks to be enjoyed poolside. Gythion Bay Camping has also replaced their plastic utensils and cups with paper and wooden ones.

Sample eight-day itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Gythion Bay Camping and check into your fully equipped Navajo Glamping Tent. Settle in, explore the campsite, and enjoy your first swim in the sea or the pool. In the evening, relax with dinner at the on-site restaurant or a drink at the beach bar while watching the sunset. Kids can enjoy the outdoor cinema.
Day 2
Wake up to the sound of the sea and enjoy a relaxed beach morning on the five-kilometer sandy beach just steps from your tent. Go on a morning horse ride along the beach for up to four persons. In the afternoon, join a guided visit to Gythion Bay Camping's farm, where children can meet the animals and learn about nature. The evening will be free for family time and seaside dining.
Day 3
For the horse riding lesson 2, practice what you learned on Day 1. Spend the rest of the day swimming, sunbathing, or enjoying refreshments at the beach bar.
Day 4
This will be a free day to rest, take advantage of the campsite's offered daily activities, and grab the opportunity to visit nearby beaches or caves before returning to the campsite for a relaxing evening swim.
Day 5
Go on a mid-morning horse ride in the Mani area. In the afternoon, children can join in games, creative workshops, and nature-based fun. Parents can relax at the beach, pool, or enjoy a peaceful coffee by the sea. You can also take an optional evening stroll in the nearby Gythio town.

Directly outside the campsite, you can have access to the sandy Mavrovouni Beach, which is five kilometers long and never crowded.
Gythion Bay Camping's part of the beach is totally free from any artificial interference with no umbrellas or loungers. This way, they welcome the endangered caretta caretta sea turtle to create nests and lay their eggs near the campsite. The local turtle protection society marks the nests and makes sure that they are sheltered, and visits once a week to inform campers through a presentation on the sea turtles’ activities.
Children’s activities involve scavenger hunts on the beach, with staff members for discarded rubbish, and educating the children on recycling and correct waste disposal.
Eten
Gythion Bay Camping's restaurant chooses to use fresh local products, and their meals are prepared based on Mediterranean recipes using olive oil, local fresh meat and vegetables, and no artificial preservatives or frozen ready meals. They have also introduced water filters in their kitchen, and their staff encourages the use of refillable jugs.
Their team recycles all the recyclable waste. Even in their kitchen, fruit and vegetable scraps are offered as a tasty snack to their thankful donkeys.
Gythion Bay Camping's mini market sells a variety of organic products under the Aelia and Neda label, their limited quantity award-winning organic extra virgin olive oil and olives, as well as delicious handmade marmalades and honey.
