Being part of the English and horse riding program offers students the opportunity to gain proficiency in English while making friends, horse riding, and having fun here at Cork English College in Cork. This retreat combines English language classes with exciting horse-riding activities. In this exclusive program, students get the chance to experience horse riding in a fun, exciting, and safe environment. Under the supervision of professional trainers, the students undertake riding, which is catered to suit their ability level, and includes cross country, fun and games, and stable management.

English and horse riding program
On the program, you will build and develop your confidence in communicating in English and increase your vocabulary and social English with 20 lessons per week (45 minutes per lesson). You attend English language classes in the morning and
have the opportunity to go horse riding in the afternoons at the international horse riding center in Castlemore Stables (five hours per week). Enjoy the great outdoors on this program in the energetic and fun equestrian center in the stunning Cork countryside.
Horse riding is offered at all levels ensuring the program is suited to riders from beginner's level to advanced. Under the supervision of professional trainers, you undertake riding, which is catered to their own level and includes cross country, fun and games, and stable management. Evening activities consist of disco, karaoke, and bingo. A full-day trip is provided every Saturday to a venue further afield.
Academic
Classes run every morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and are interactive with the main focus on improving the students’ spoken ability and vocabulary expansion. All students undergo a placement test before starting their course. A progress test every Friday ensures that the progress of each individual is monitored on an ongoing basis.
Cork English College teachers are native English speakers and fully qualified in the teaching of English as a foreign language. All possess a primary degree in addition to TEFL qualifications. All centers are recognized by the Irish Department of Education. The use of course materials is included. The average number of students per class is 10 - 12 with a maximum of 15.
