The holiday home is located in the old farmhouse 'Hoeve Heide en Wold,' dating from 1862. In early 2020, the rural holiday home was completely renovated and furnished in a farmhouse style with authentic country details such as wooden trusses, paneled doors, and a unique box bed. At the same time, the house offers plenty of comfort and is equipped with all modern conveniences.

The holiday home was extended in early 2023. Upstairs, three bedrooms with bathrooms were created, and the living room was enlarged downstairs.

The holiday home is suitable for six to 12 people. The entire property is rented out to groups.

Downstairs is the living room with a large open-plan kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, etc., and a second sitting room with a television and a play area for the children. There are also four sleeping places in the unique box bed, which consists of two floors.

Below is the spacious double box bed with an extra-long bed (1.80 x 2.10 meters), and above this, there is a cozy attic (1.45 m high) with two separate single beds (which can be pushed together). It is ideal for children, but also suitable for adults. In the hallway are two toilets and a bathroom with a (separate) shower and three sinks.

On the upper floor, accessible via a staircase in the hall, there are two triple bedrooms and one double bedroom. All rooms have a private bathroom. One of the triple bedrooms has a double bed (two 90 x 200 cm beds that can be separated) and one single bed (90 x 200 cm). The other triple bedroom has three single beds (90 x 200 cm). There is also a double bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200 cm).

From the dining table in the country cottage, you will have a view of the terrace, fields, and shrubbery. A large sliding door will provide direct access to the terrace. There, you can enjoy the sun, the peace and quiet, and the natural surroundings.

The rural holiday home with its own entrance is luxuriously furnished, fully equipped, and completely smoke-free. It not only has underfloor heating throughout, but a wood-burning stove adds to the ambience as well. The farm is situated in a rural area, surrounded by forests and expansive heathlands. The yard is green and natural.

From the terrace, you can walk to the field where you can sunbathe, play badminton, picnic, and more. There's also a large trampoline and a playhouse with a slide and a sandbox. There, you can enjoy the surrounding nature with singing birds, darting butterflies, or squirrels jumping from branch to branch.

From the house, you will also have a view of your own horse in the pasture.

4-person groups

A group booking for four people at once can choose between renting a part of the accommodation for a lower price or renting the entire accommodation for more space.

• If you rent a part of the accommodation, you have downstairs the living room with the large open-plan kitchen. There are four sleeping places in the unique box bed, which consists of two floors. Below is the spacious double box bed with an extra-long bed (1.80 x 2.10 meters), and above this, there is a cozy attic (1.45 m high) with two separate single beds (which can be pushed together). • When you rent the complete accommodation, you have a separate room for each guest. They can also decide how to arrange the rooms.

6/8-person groups

The holiday home has two triple rooms and three double rooms for a total of 12 people / sleeping places. If there are six or eight people staying in the entire accommodation, then they can also share a room with one other person, or with two or three other people. But, not everyone can share a room. For six- eight people, the rooms can also be arranged like this:

• 1/2 person(s) in a double room with a bathroom
• 2 people in a triple room with a bathroom
• 2/3 people in a triple room with a bathroom

when booked bij one or two persons you can only choose one of the indicated periods on the right side of the page. You can select one of these periods in the calendar when booking. The booking is only final when 4 people have booked the period. We will directly inform you as soon as we have received sufficient bookings and the package can proceed.

Together in nature

The farm is situated in the heart of the Drents-Friese Wold region. This diverse landscape features forests, heathland, and farmland. The grounds of Hoeve Heide en Wold are green and natural, with ancient oaks over 100 years old, walnut trees, wildflower meadows, and woodland. There are many songbirds, butterflies, and even deer!

Naturally, there are farm animals such as horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. The natural atmosphere is perfect for a truly relaxing stay.
