Itinerary
Day 1
You will meet at the farm. Horses of Taiga gives you the equipment you need (helmets, saddlebags, etc.) and then you will saddle the horses together. After an introduction and a mini-course in the paddock, you can ride in the forest all day. In the woods, along the Skellefteå River, around fantastic lakes, your gentle horses take you to various peaceful places. Lunch in the forest on an open fire. In the evening, you enjoy the camp, cuddles with the horses, swim in the lake, take the outdoor dinner, and stay overnight in a typical Swedish stuga.
Day 2
Another fantastic riding day in the northern forest. You leave the camp after breakfast and head for the farm. On the way, you hope to see reindeers and if you are really lucky, maybe even a moose. Back at the farm, you take care of the horses. After the last fika together, you can drive on to more adventures.
Level
Basic riding skills and good physical condition.
Horses
1. Trú
When Flo met this little mare in Iceland, she completely fell in love. So obviously Trú has followed her to Sweden, where she happily discovered the forest. Independent and smart, she is the head of the herd.
2. Skuttull, alias Skutte
Skutte joined Horses of Taiga just before they started. He comes from the area, so he felt quite quickly at home in Svansele, and he really loves discovering new paths. Calm and playful, he is a good buddy. And the big eater too.
3. Sædis
Attentive and determined, this blue-eyed lady will always go forward.
4. Sólfari
The clown in the herd. Mischievous and cuddly, no one can resist him.
5. Leó
Calm and confident, this good-looking gelding knows his job.
6. Mána
A kind little mare. But make no mistake, she is also full of energy.
7. Embla
Focused and powerful, this kindhearted mare is the perfect match for experienced riders.
8. Iðinn
Trú’s baby was born in July 2019. Watch out, you are for sure going to fall in love with this cuddly ball of fur.
