Overview

One day in the middle of the week you ride on a mini trail to a different village. The summer in Gredos is perfect for excellent riding holidays due to the altitude, Navarredonda is at 1,600 meters, so even in July or August is not hot for full days riding and perfect for swimming in the fresh waters at lunch stops. This tour has a center-based itinerary with one night on a mini trail. You will have different rides each day with opportunities for swimming at lunch stops in the crystalline waters of Gredos, rivers, gorges, etc. You will have a relaxed and comfortable ride - good for families.

The daily trails will have different itineraries every day through the wild landscape of the Gredos Mountains where you can see Iberic Goads, golden eagles, or black vultures. Lunches will be held in the countryside with barbecues, paella, and much more after relaxing swimming in the crystalline waters of the rivers in the mountains. You will experience very relaxing day rides. In the middle of the week, you will travel to another town located in the Tormes River valley to spend one night. Emilio knows the terrain and the route very well and will show you interesting facts along the way.

The pace of the riding will be moderated with walks, trots, and canters. Usually, when the terrain allows for a safe canter, you will canter. However, in the mountains, there are many areas where the terrain does not allow for trotting or cantering, so you will enjoy walking with breathtaking views around instead. The length of the ride is around 150 kilometers.

Every ride is personally guided by the experienced Emilio, with experience of over 30 years as an equestrian guide, he is a terrific guide. Emilio is an expert rider and has a special ability to match his horses with riders. He is leading the groups with his confident and well-mannered horses that are a pleasure to ride, you will always feel very safe. He is an English speaker.
