Lusitanos Riding Centre

A outstanding experience at the Lusitanos Riding Centre. The quality of the horses, facility and riding instruction was exceptional. João is a master at his craft, friendly and engaging. He improved my dressage skills on many levels - from position to rhythm to collection. Susana welcomed me into their home like family, fed me like a queen, and took care of my soul. I truly loved every single moment I spent there and will be returning 150%.

I've been to LRC twice already. Each time I've learnt a lot both from João and the horses I got to ride there. Until now it's been 4 different ones and each of them amazing and incredibly well trained. They will show you all your mistakes and reward you for clear communication.

João is very focused in the lessons and won't miss anything. He is not easy to impress but if he praises you, you know you've done something right :) Altogether the best riding lessons I've ever received.

And then there's Susana who quickly turns from host to friend and is very encouraging and supportive. She might make you gain a few pounds with her amazing cooking...

All in all I absolutely recommend Lusitanos Riding Centre.

Horses are very well trained, stable is super clean and nice, my riding was improved day by day. Excellent food and cozy guest house.

The horses and instructor Joao, the host Susana and the food, the accommodations and of course the 4 legged family members. So sweet these people! My second time this year.

I had such a great stay with Susanna and João and all their animals. The area around is so beautiful. The food was soooo good. A great place to work on your riding while also relaxing outside. The horses were amazing and so patient. Even my non-horsey husband had an amazing time. I can't wait to come back!

Susana and João are wonderful hosts. I really enjoyed the dressage and working equitation lessons by João on well trained Lusitano horses. Susana prepares really delicious typical Portugese dishes accompanied by a glass of wine of a local producer. Everything is very clean and well kept.

Susana and João were excellent hosts, they made me feel at home and very welcome. Horses were well kept, in great shape and trained to the highest standards. João is amazing and patient horse trainer, his cheeky personality makes learning a fun experience. Susana can go to MasterChef TV show with her cooking skills, the food was so delicious! All facilities are clean and cared for and you have lovely dogs to play with too when you are not riding. Cannot wait to come back!

Love how all the horses here are well trained, well-mannered and lovely. Dressage lessons are great and have had a chance to try grand prix movements; also have had a go at working equitation and really enjoyed learning from João.

João and Susana truly love their animals so much, the stables is filled with laughters everyday with the doggies running around! Have had such an amazing time I even extended my trip with them! Really enjoyed my stay here and learned a lot.

Everything was really nice. Susanna and Joao are so hospitable and very friendly. They really go the extra mile to make you feel like part of the family.
