9 Day Petra and Wadi Rum Horse Riding Tour in Jordan

Day 1 (Saturday): Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) - Madaba

Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) and transfer to the hotel in Madaba. Night at the Aitch Hotel or a similar hotel. No meals during arrival day.

Day 2 (Sunday): Petra on foot

Early departure for Petra (two and a half to three hours' drive). On your arrival, you leave your luggage at the hotel and then have the opportunity to visit this legendary site, accompanied at the beginning by a Jordanian guide (most of the time English-speaking) until the exit of the Siq at Khazneh (the treasure). Then you are free to explore this majestic site on your own until nightfall. Night at Edom Hotel or similar. Breakfast and dinner are included.

Day 3 (Monday): "Little Petra" on horseback

After breakfast, meeting with the local team and allocation of horses according to the level of each. You ride for your first day in one of the most beautiful places in the world to discover "Little Petra", Baidah. Night at the camp. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Days 4 - 7 (Tuesday - Friday): Comfort camp

Main attractions during the ride: Barrah Canyon, Lawrence House, Um Ishrin Canyon, Burdha Bridge, Um Fruth, Khazaly Canyon, Sand Dune, Anafishia Inscriptions, and Lawrence Spring. All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included.

1. Riding day 2

• Four to five hours ride - 20 kilometers

Meeting horses and team in Diseh which is a small village located east part of Wadi Rum protected area, you will ride south in the direction of Barrah Canyon and Open Valley. You will reach your camp for lunch, take a break of two to three hours according to the weather, and have a lovely afternoon ride looking at the famous red Um Twiguy rock and Thamudic inscriptions. Dinner and stay overnight at the camp.

2. Riding day 3: Barrah Canyon - Red sand dune

You will ride through Barrah, another spectacular canyon in Wadi Rum surrounded by high cliffs where you often see climbers. At the end of the canyon, you reach your lunch place. Your guide will find the best ways to cross secret canyons to reach the camp before sunset. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

3. Riding day 4: Burdha Arch - Mushroom Rock - Al Manghour Mountain

Breakfast in camp and then ride towards Burdha Arch area. Crossing nice sandy red and magic mushroom stone sand canyons having lunch at the bottom of Burdha Mountain. Afternoon ride on a nice track with a beautiful view of the Wadi Rum red mountains. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

4. Riding day 5: Djebel Ghazaly - Lawrence house - Wadi Rum

Last riding excursions in the heart of Wadi Rum, Ghazaly Canyon, and Lawrence Wale. End of riding days, say goodbye to your horses and the team. Transfer to Madaba Aitch Hotel with a farewell dinner at one of the oldest restaurants in town Adonis (seven to 10 minutes walk from the hotel).

Day 8 (Saturday): Dead Sea swim and lunch

After breakfast, at 9:00 a.m., transfer to the Dead Sea Holiday Inn Five-Star Hotel or similar to enjoy swimming and floating in the lowest spot-on Earth till sunset. Lunch, back to Madaba with a stop at Mount Nebo to explore the historic site, check in at Aitch Hotel Madaba or similar, and dinner. Breakfast, and lunch are included.

Day 9 (Sunday): Departure

You will transfer to Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) after including breakfast.
