8 Day Beaches, Desert, and Palm Groves of the Great Moroccan South Horse Riding Holiday

Day 1: Agadir

Welcome at Agadir Airport and transfer by taxi to your hotel. The horses and the team are set up within the hotel for an initial meeting. Enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner.

Day 2: Agadir to Takat

Departure from Agadir on horseback. As soon as you leave the city, you will ride along the beautiful arm of the Agadir delta. This will be an opportunity to observe sea gulls, herons, and other large wading birds that nest all year round.

You will cross a centuries-old eucalyptus forest before reaching the beach that borders the nature reserve. In the evening, you will return via shaded tracks to the Takat campsite, where you can enjoy the swimming pool. You will spend the night in a large traditional Berber tent with all the comfort and amenities.

Day 3: Takat to Sidi R'bat

You will head back towards the ocean and embark on a ride through the vast sand dunes of an unexpected desert. Lunch will be enjoyed by the ocean before continuing along the coast, passing by Berber fishing villages with a sea view.

You will follow magnificent tracks that overlook the cliffs until you reach the village of Sidi R'bat. You will spend the night at a beautiful traditional hotel in Sidi R'bat, with the immensity of the ocean and its colors as a backdrop.

Day 4: Sidi R'bat to Massa Palm Grove

It will be a colorful and discovery-filled day as you ride along the Souss Massa National Park, a biosphere reserve in the Arganeraie region. This is an opportunity to observe the last colony of northern African bald ibis. You will cross the palm grove, an oasis of greenery that contrasts with the desert landscapes of the previous days.

In the evening, you will reach the Palmeraie de Massa hotel, where you can take a swim in the pool or enjoy a traditional hammam (hammam reservations only, minimum 3 people).

Day 5: Massa to Aglou

You will be accompanied by plantations, olive trees, and palm trees until you exit the palm grove. After crossing the boundaries of the delta, you will encounter the ocean and its troglodyte fishing villages.

Lunch will be enjoyed with a sea view. You will then embark on magnificent galloping tracks that will take you through the sandy desert until you reach a typical Moroccan little riad. You will relax in its peaceful and cool interior court.

Day 6: Aglou to the ranch

Last day of the hike, you will cross the desert at the top of the cliffs to the fishing port of Aglou. If the tide is low enough, you will make your way back to the ranch along the beach, covering 15 kilometers of fine sand! If the tide is too high, you will return through the dunes and hills that overlook the beach.

Upon arrival, you will discover the ranch, an oasis of greenery where you will spend the evening and the night. You can enjoy the gardens and terraces that offer stunning views of both the sea and the mountains.

Day 7: At the ranch

For your last day, you have two options :

Option 1: You can embark on a full-day mountain trek in the hills overlooking the ranch, with a picnic under the argan trees. This is a chance to gain some elevation and admire the stunning coastal view one last time.

Option 2: You can enjoy a morning outing to the sea, allowing the horses to walk in the water. This is ideal for their recovery. For those who prefer to have a free afternoon, you can spend time at the beach, relax with a massage, or visit Mirleft or Tiznit.

The choice is yours, depending on your preference. In the evening, you will have a traditional Friday couscous meal at the ranch, ending your journey on a delicious note.

Day 8: Return to Agadir

On the departure day, depending on your flight time, you have the option to take a trip to Tiznit or to indulge in the services of our masseuse who will be happy to relieve any muscle soreness.

Afterwards, you will be transferred to Agadir airport for your return flight, carrying memories of your journey with you. Safe travels and may you have unforgettable memories from your trip.
