Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival (pick up from Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport to Our Hotel in Urgüp)

Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to unwind in your room or take a leisurely stroll around the town before dinner. In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner — an opportunity to get to know the group and go over the days ahead.

Day 2: Start at Wild West Ranch & start of the journey

After breakfast in the hotel, the Wild West Horse Ranch team will transfer you to the ranch, which is just 5 minutes away from the hotel. Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at the Wild West Horse Ranch, where you’ll meet your guide, get familiar with your horse, and receive a quick briefing on safety and what to expect.

After saddling up, you’ll set off on your first ride. The day starts with a scenic ride through Sword Valley, a narrow and dramatic canyon lined with rugged fairy chimneys. From there, you'll transition into the breathtaking landscapes of Red Valley and Rose Valley, where soft-colored rock formations and tranquil paths create a dreamlike riding experience.

The ride continues through the ancient Çavuşin Village and Aktepe mountain, where you can see the impressive Paşabağ Valley from the mountain, where towering mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys dominate the landscape, and then we ride on to Devrent Valley for lunch, also known as Imagination Valley, famous for its whimsical, animal-shaped rock formations.

As the day winds down, you’ll arrive at the Avanos Camping area. The adventure continues above ground in the riverside town of Avanos, famous for its centuries-old pottery tradition. You’ll visit a working pottery studio to see artisans shaping clay using age-old techniques, with a chance to try your hand at the wheel. Here, you’ll settle in for the night, enjoy a hearty campfire dinner, and relax under the stars, marking the perfect end to a full day of adventure.

Day 3: Through Pottery Towns and Volcanic Peaks to Love Valley’s Embrace

Your day begins at the Avanos Camping Area, where you’ll wake up to the soft rustling of leaves and the gentle flow of the Kızılırmak River—Türkiye’s longest river—gliding past your tent. Enjoy a slow morning soaking in the calm atmosphere, perhaps with a warm cup of tea as the morning mist lifts over the water.

Once the horses are saddled and ready, you’ll set off at a relaxed pace, riding through the charming streets of Avanos, a town steeped in artisan tradition and famous for its red clay pottery. The ride offers a perfect blend of culture and nature, with glimpses of riverside gardens, narrow village paths, and friendly locals going about their day. Around midday, you’ll stop at Balıklıova Restaurant for lunch.

After lunch, you continue the journey toward Karadağ—known as the Black Mountain—a dramatic volcanic ridge offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. The landscape gradually shifts, revealing open plains, surreal rock formations, and glimpses of distant fairy chimneys as you descend toward Love Valley. The day ends at the campsite, tucked into the folds of the valley, where you'll have time to unwind, watch the sun set behind the whimsical rock spires, and reflect on the unforgettable journey through Cappadocia's timeless terrain with a campfire dinner.

Day 4: Balloons, Valleys, and Last Goodbyes

Your final morning in Cappadocia begins in the heart of Love Valley, where you’ll wake up surrounded by the valley’s iconic rock formations—tall, whimsical spires carved by centuries of wind and rain. As the sky begins to lighten, step outside your tent to witness one of Cappadocia’s most magical sights: dozens of hot air balloons rising silently into the dawn sky, drifting above the fairy chimneys in a breathtaking display of color and light.

After a light camp breakfast, you’ll mount up for a final scenic ride, weaving through the dreamy landscape as the morning sun bathes the valley in gold. From here, you make your way toward Uçhisar, passing through quiet trails and rural terrain before reaching Uçhisar Castle. Towering above the region, this natural rock fortress offers panoramic views over Cappadocia's surreal landscape. Here, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch at Uçhisar .

In the afternoon, you will pass through Pigeon Valley and Üç Güzeller while you head to Pancarlık Church, a lesser-known but beautifully frescoed cave church tucked into a peaceful valley. You’ll have a short break to explore its tranquil surroundings and rich history before returning to the Wild West Horse Ranch. Once the horses are settled and gear is returned, a comfortable vehicle will take you back to your hotel—bringing your unforgettable Cappadocia adventure to a close.

Day 5: Departure Day—Farewell and New Horizons

After days spent riding through Cappadocia’s breathtaking landscapes, waking to the sounds of nature, and sharing unforgettable moments on the trail, it’s time to say goodbye. Enjoy a relaxed morning at your hotel with a final breakfast, reflecting on your journey through valleys, villages, and ancient paths.

Depending on your departure time, you may choose to take a short stroll around town, shop for local souvenirs, or simply unwind before check-out at 12:00. Your hosts will assist with any final arrangements or transfers to the airport or your next destination.

Though the ride has ended, the memories, friendships, and connection to the land stay with you — a journey not just across Cappadocia but into a slower, deeper way of experiencing the world.
