Whether pulling timber, guiding guests through snowy trails, or showcasing their beauty in the summer sun, their Finnhorses embody tradition and adaptability.

Beyond their beloved horses, Ranch Kuulas is also home to:
- Sheep: Gentle and curious, the sheep roam peacefully in the pastures, adding to the idyllic atmosphere of the farm.

Location
Ranch Kuulas is in Finnish Lapland, about 40 minutes (50 kilometers) north of Rovaniemi, along the main road (E75). Here, nature is more than just a backdrop—it is their way of life. Located just north of the Arctic Circle, about 60 kilometers beyond the line where polar wonders truly begin, the ranch is surrounded by the pristine beauty of Lapland’s wilderness. Here, nature speaks its own language, and every season has a unique story to tell.
A Land of Polar Extremes
In winter, the sun disappears below the horizon, casting the land into the ethereal glow of the polar night (kaamos). The snow sparkles under the soft light of the moon and the dancing Aurora Borealis. In summer, the midnight sun shines endlessly, painting the landscape in hues of gold and pink as day and night merge into one. These extremes define life in Lapland and create experiences you will find nowhere else on Earth.
The Eight Seasons of Lapland
At Ranch Kuulas, they embrace the rhythm of Lapland’s eight seasons—each one distinct and magical in its own way. From the frost-laden landscapes of deep winter to the explosion of life during spring’s awakening, from the vibrant colors of ruska (autumn foliage) to the shimmering snow of early winter, every season offers a new opportunity to connect with nature.
Living with Nature
Nature is at the heart of everything they do. They live in harmony with the land, drawing inspiration and sustenance from the forests, rivers, and skies that surround them. Sustainability is not just a principle—it is a necessity. They heat their farm with wood from their forests, grow food with care, and ensure their presence strengthens rather than diminishes the natural beauty around them.
Food
At Ranch Kuulas, you can also enjoy traditional Finnish food made in a wood-fired oven. Their cozy restaurant serves local dishes using fresh ingredients from Lapland. Sit by the warm oven and taste the flavors of the North – from fresh bread to traditional stews, all prepared with care and love.
